I know we should give him a chance but seriously he sucks in the acting department as of now, hopefully he pulls himself soon and starts acting

Sonu I am not too sure about his theatre background. I only read it in an article and I am not sure whether to believe every word of that article. It would have been much better if Farhan confessed to doing theater in an interview.

Okay let's say he has done theater.. But even so, the two mediums are still different. I cannot comment because I have never faced the camera as a fictional character. But a related thing would be stage fear... I'm quite comfortable writing poems and had some of my works published too. So I was invited to recite some of my published work in an international poetry conference.. The moment I was on stage, I felt I have no acquaintance with poetry whatsoever. Leaving the technicality aside, there's that thing of getting along with your costars.. It really impacts the actor's onscreen performance. In that opening party, Farhan didn't seem like a very open and social person so he could be having some sort of hesitation.

In all fairness, I would say let's give him at least a couple of months...

I don't find him endearing or sexy...they should have chosen someone in the same calibar as Sanaya...I guess time will tell...😔

As far as looks are concerned, it's all about the makeup artist and the character yaaraa cuz the guy you see in ChanChan is the same guy as the one here:

Now if you tell me that the above guy is not hot, I might think that something's wrong with your taste. But if you tell me that Manav's not hot, then I'll have to agree with you...

could be sonya... i guess farhaan is just not as gifted probably he's one of those actors who needs to hone and fine tune his skills...but the lad confirmed doing films and how different can both the tv and film medium be...why is there a problem with the camera angles...he seems awkward to say the least ..i have seen rank newcomers fair much better and i can easily rattle a few names ...also what's with the whole thing of wearing the same expression.this may be a new medium a new team but he isn't new to the art of acting and his art must hold some credibility so as to have made it through 100's of aspirants(if that is the case then why can't i judge him and his skills he did go through the filtration right and i am sure was judged there too)... ...i know we can't expect newcomers to be brilliant but we also need to see that spark.or atleast have someone who's easy on the eyes but sadly i have been unable to see any of the qualities in him ...i know i might be harsh on judging him now and who knows tom could warm up to him ..but as of now i don't think he's impressive .and i truly believe my san deserves way better .this somewhere is going to effect her too if her co star isn't competent enough and i don't want her to suffer for no fault of hers ...all said and done farhaan's constant bragging also doesn't help matters 😆

honestly for chanchan i wasn'tt expecting some A lister since most actors who auditioned for the part didn't seem like the most sought after actors anyways ...but that said i also wasn't prepared to settle for something even less than that...a non actor ...

He had done movies?! Now that's news to me.

But then again Sonu it makes it a lot more complicated. If he has done movies, if he was chosen out of many aspirant and established actors during auditions, then he must have had something in him. Now we can't say that the PH found it difficult to see what our naked eyes can see so easily. At this stage, it could be anything.. from non acting skills to hesitation to disinterest to settling in to not connecting with the character...

I know Farhan's not impressive at all right now but I'll still refrain from formulating an opinion against him at this early stage. The main reason is because I have seen tremendous growth in actors during the course of a single show. The best example would be Mohit Sehgal. In the first episodes, I could not bear seeing him on my screen.. he looked so fake in that cool dude college character...! And when he appeared in the same screen with experienced actors like Sanaya, Arjun, and Rati, I disliked him even more.. But then he starting picking up in no time.. In season 2 of the show, he overshadowed Mayank's character in many scenes and that was quite an achievement. That confrontation walaa scene with Gunjan right after Devdas' play was the highlight of that show for me. I couldn't believe that I am seeing the same actor who started off so bad... It was the first time when Samrat stole the spotlight from Gunjan for me!

Now it's a do or die situation for Farhan.. Either he proves himself through this show and builds his career or he leaves acting for good.. Under normal circumstances, I don't think he'll leave any stone unturned. The reason why I though he was inexperienced is when I heard him say how he was excited and nervous about having to work with established actors like Sanaya Irani and Supriya ji.. Hence, he has my sympathies for now at least.. If he acts lazy and does not improve, then I'll soon blacklist him..!

And tbh with you Sonu, it's not like I have seen extraordinary feats of acting from Indian male television actors that often. There are two reasons for this. I don't usually watch Indian tv shows and Indian tv shows are said to be centered on female leads. I know you've watched Humsafar... I highly doubt I'll see someone as well-crafted in terms of acting as Fawad Khan. So it's not like I have very high expectations.. but I must add though that I recently started watching Na Bole Tum on Colors. The male lead in that show is the best best Indian actor I have ever seen on television. Now he's a class apart according to me. I hope Farhan starts hanging out with him... hehehe..
