The PH is good so on that front I am happy but yes like you say unless there is a volte face on the script, I don't see anything that is going to keep my interest in the soap. Saas Bahu are so not my cup of tea.

This PH is good ... I have seen their earlier show ... where they have indeed shown a modern girl and how she manages her home and people not matching her POV. No preaching no negativity ... Just the right amount of humour most of the time.

I really like the woman playing CC mom. She played Toasty mom too. Two different shades of mother played perfectly.

@Bold:- Exactly my sentiments. I loved Saas Bina Sasural and Toasty's character. And she was absolutely wonderful as Toasty's mom. Somehow my honest opinion is that Saas Bina Sasural was a better thought out soap - with respect to the characters, the casting, the story and the way they progressed the show for 2 yrs. Everything here seems to be rushed - casting, story and characters.

Better to wish for one more male lead

@sarada ... Sony did rush the show to bank on Sanaya's popularity. I think they have set the tone early as IPL is going to start as Sony CH did say that people don't wait for story to kick in. So this time they are on with the story in first 2 weeks and will go into chracterization taking their own sweet time during IPL.

Didn't watch the episode. The one dimensional umaben is a major turn off. I was expecting comic relief,not the sas -Bahu drama. Back to uncuts ...

Why can't desi show have strong minded independent characters? Why is it important to show wimpy spineless DILs and Sons. Seriously.. And how do people even relate to such characters to tune in day in day out. Again...back to uncuts...

But that would be a very bad idea according to me as even though people did tune in for Sanaya, if the first report is anything to go by, I doubt people will give up IPL to watch the show given that the show is now a saas-bahu show. IPL is the unnamed god of this land and the 7:30 PM - 10:30PM slot is for high league matches and so it would be hard for the PH to rein in the viewers and keep them hooked on and also the male lead is not a big draw till now. Rather they should have taken their sweet time in casting the characters and should have gone on air after IPL ends - that would have given ample time to the PH to sit and think about how to go on with the show.

So the party is here...my two cents after the initial 3 cents:
Monster-in-law has tempted fate and is getting bang bang as her daaghter in law (I hope my Gujju accent is correct)
The after thought (yes he is definite an after thought as a show cannot run without a male lead and hence an XY was needed) male lead will be a joru ka ghulam in addition to being mom-ka-beta,a la Ahem dhikra.
Purvi and her pop are going to lose everything ...lesson learnt: don't put all your eggs in the same basket...diversify your earnings...do not depend on a 100 pound Gujju woman with more money than soul 😆
