Lady J, Thank God for small mercies and we have the Take 5's again here. I hardly venture out in the forum and I definitely need some Take 5's to put my point across and more than that my pet peeve's with the serial across. So I would give that yesterday's episode was much better compared to the first 2 but still I say that it is little too early to be in this phase for this serial. The first few weeks are the ones where in you build your characters and slowly show their way of thinking by their actions and if there are any clashes then it is shown through the way they do stuff in general and then you set up the clash. One thing you ought to know is that most people lose interest if the story line or plot is predictable. So for the makers sake I do hope they wouldn't be this predictable in future(looking at yesterday the story is quite clear and hence this point) because boy girl falling in love without knowing their identities and then MIL-DIL clashes are done to death in so many soaps before and may not hold the audience interest much longer.

Coming to the episode, things that didn't work for me

- The background was not at all in sync with the mood of the show.

- I absolutely hated the 'return of the handwa'

- The male lead and the sidekick are not working for me. But yesterday since they were there only for 2 mins, I could jhelofy them. So going forward hopefully the screen time for them would be less and I can tolerate them through out the show till the end.

- Supriya's role turned out to be vampish from yesterday - It is now no longer an strict and arrogant matron but it is going to be a saas who will extract her pound of revenge from chanchan once she becomes her DIL. My guess is Umaben will act all nice when the son will come forward with love affair with Chanchan and then get her as a DIL and then torture her. NAHHHIII - Can't see this storyline please bhagwanji.

- And the most important turn off was there were no strong dialogues for the Dad and the bride. Makers you are taking an stand against an evil practice here - then show the one who is going to do it as strong. Rather if you show them crying and being hapless then it exactly doesn't show that they are happy doing it and your message would be watered down. Had they shown one dialogue of Purvi or her Dad saying - 'I want to marry/my daughter to marry/ someone who trusts her and who would cherish her and I am confident that such a person will come and I have no regrets taking this decision', I would have applauded the makers for this statement. But the whole thing was Chanchan fighting the case and Umaben opposing it with the father-daughter duo crying and being hapless. That is what I meant when I said that things like this ought to be shown correctly or they end up being preachy and the correct impact of it is lost.

Apart from that for the first week report for this show - I would still say unless there is some good storyline going forward, it would be difficult to rein in viewers only with Supriya-Sanaya name-brand because the truth is there are so many saas-bahu shows on air and this show is slowly going that way so there would be no uniqueness or the x-factor to tune in. And I don't have any hopes whatsoever on the male lead. He aint going to help out there. Just hope they cast good girl against the brother of Chanchan( he was in Saas Bina Sasural and is a good actor) and I can watch his love story with hopefully ChanChan helping him out. And looking forward to the introduction of the male lead's family in the coming week.

Everyone is watching everyone else on the show so hope the viewers continue watching and it does not become "dekhna hai to dekho" types! Stop-wa on the handwa please!!!!!!!!!!

Roomal...to read later...traveling on work all week...and in this land...there are a gazillion Tamil channels and some English ones but no Hindi GEC of note on the hotel TV...so haven't managed to watch the show yet except through J-J's eyes on the Take 5/1/2/x...but will catch up by the weekend...speed watching is what it looks like so far...anyway all the drama, action and emosun seems to be here😛😉...I don't need anything else...😆

three epis down and unfortunately it seems that the show is going the way i had never wanted it to!

-social issues used only to spike up the drama quotient/set tone of relationships do not appeal to me anyway. i liked the thought behind it and the result of the drama in the show...but again the approach did not win me.

-BG score is 👎🏼

-execution seems to be improving with each passing day!

-dialogue of the day has to be "dose double kar doongi par tumhein nahi bhoolongi"😆😳...lekin hum hase ki roye?

-ya-ya have the required punch in their performances when together onscreen. after all ya-ya chemistry forms the backbone of the show and they deliver big time!!

-performance wise, it was all about Chan-ben until now and they both are commendable. Sanaya has nothing challenging as of yet but she brings her own signature charm to the scenes, on the other hand Supriya Pathak has the right balance to portray her character's eerie arrogance without going overboard! i would love to see Umaben's character with a lot more shades to it...watching Supriya jee essay a grey character would be lot more interesting than an off-putting "black" which might just force me to change the channel!

-note to supposed male lead🥱...plz stop smiling like a mad person after every dialogue spoken!! i am already dreading that u apparently have "50%" of the dialogues...the 5% u had till now honestly put me off! sorry no sorry!!😵

i would love to see a light contemporary approach to the "MIL-DIL conflict" rather than the overrated usual cliche! hope that here on, the treatment and narrative of the show improves and we indeed get the "drama with a difference" the promos and the PH promised!😊

And yeah coming to the Male Lead, I just hope he proceeds to become the resident wallflower going forward and doesn't have more than 2-5 mins of screen space.

Exactly my thoughts Ash. We seem to have wished little more here - And never go only on the promotions until the actual things airs - Well it is never too late to learn a lesson. So keeping my hopes to bare minimum for 1-2 weeks.
