well the PH deffo managed to spike up public interest with the promotions. most of the strategies worked! except that the yawn-inducing hoopla around the male lead got a tad too much...when almost everyone had an idea that the show would be a female protagonist oriented one after the initial announcements were made! 🥱 but ofc there is limit to how much promotions or an appealing star cast can leverage viewership...it is time the makers pull up their socks. honestly it is not much of a niche audience show by the looks of it and the TRP audience have another of an option at the same time!
Male lead uff...he had made me ROFL on the first day; ab toh hasi bhi nahi aati! it is not that he is doing something out of the box or tough, these are simple routine scenes during which he manages to piss me off!! very awkward and at times weird...'enuf said😵

Sree :- Hugs 🤗. I am doing good. I agree with you - promotions get the people to sit up and take notice but and that is a huge but, you need to know what exactly is the picture you are putting across to the viewers. And there are not 1 but quite few challenges for this show already - one in the form of IPL and another is like you have mentioned in the bold as that show on SP is still the number 1 on TRPs and is firmly etched in audience mind. So if a chance is given to the audience they do expect something new to entice them and promotions take it so far only. And whether people agree or not in India, Male Lead should be able to carry the show forward at least help rein in the viewers as majority of TRP audience is young girls and female population. Here toh I have no hopes whatsoever in this area. I have seen many serials where the leads are doing nothing spectacular but they at least play their part convincingly. Definitely the makers need to pull up their socks - they have their work cut out for them.

Day 3 of Jingle-Ve:

- Has it really only been 3 episodes?? Everything is so Rushed!

Dowry issue is apparently already taken care of in 1-2 episodes'

I didn't like that Jingle-Jingle was talking away about the whole issue while the papa-beti duo sat there crying' I mean come on! if you want to show modern thinking- then show the daughter taking a stand against it instead of just crying about phooti kismet because of not being an extraordinary child and all.

But at the end, glad the father didn't give in and said No to the wedding because his daughter didn't approve, however it was executed. 👏

-Uma Ben and Bitwa- like mother like son: "I'm watching you" 😆

-Bitwa really needs to step it up... hope he improves with time. The face twisting expressions ain't helping.

-Not that I watch any other Indian show but having a grandmother at home who watches the soapy cry-fests all day, I have the perks of enjoying some episodes myself 🤔' I was trying to think about where I had heard of the name Puch-Puch. Turns out, in Yeh Rishta.., the kid got a fish and named it Puchki at first. Also, another old show, Ruk jana nahi- the main guy in there, his mom used to call him Punchu! GOSH, why do I know this stuff!? 😡

For Sanaya's sake (and the rest of the cast), hope the show does well. Wish her only the best. 😊

@Bold:- Agree with you 100%. That was my pet peeve with the makers for yesterday's episode. Why should Chanchan do the solo fight especially when it was not even her issue. It was a golden chance for the makers to get in some brownie points for the supporting cast had they given the fight mantle to purvi and dad and the message would have been more powerful. Sigh wish the makers take time before they rush into things.

Yep. I get they're trying to show Chanchan as a modern girl- but I'm sure her friends are similar to her. Like they say, your friends define you. I mean, the girl who was about to be married off with dowry is just sitting there and crying- say something at least!! Because, in reality not everyone will have that one friend who will fight your battles- you have to take a stand.

That's what I was worried about: the social message being handled poorly, thus it fell flat.
