i must say this dialogue describes her presonality perfect

also how often did she repeat maine iss ladki ki madat ki maine

this is selfishness at its best quite an interesting character

i do not think she is selfish. but yes she has her own set of rule
and can tiwst the word to suit her need.

she is one very caring and loving mother tool who will do anything for her son

loving to see supriyaji in this greyish character

I wouldn't call it selfish per say .. she's just looking out for herself .. look at the dialogue as a whole "bhagwan SAB ka bhala kare" .. she wishes for everyone's well being, just puts herself first

actually that's a very famous dialogue, Even my mother uses it sometimes when she's frustrated haha..

i guess some "selfishness" is a good thing especially in today's world.

As far as Umaben's character, she is not so bad, she does good things too but with the use of bad "power" 🤔 .. she just thinks of her own benefit before everyone else.. and the way she keeps repeating how she helped, is just a way to make her feel good/better about herself.. there are people who like to praise themself.. no harm, just ignore.
