savvy 🤗 am a bit under the weather today…but otherwise ok….hru….khoobsurat was totally magical…i like the serials where i dont know the story…that element of suspense is always good…even if theyw ere making a remake i feel theyshd have let that indo to themselves….like i have heard sonam kapoor is starring in khoobsurat's remake on big screen…imagine…sonam kapoor portraying rekha's part…it has doom spelled all over it….

After watching a cross border soap over the weekend loaded with subtlety, normal conversations, the question about real characters did stare at my face when I watched today

The activism and the preaching is a double edged sword has to be handled with much care without being a turn off!!

I do rue the day when I thought what a lovely turn of events that Supriya Pathak gets to reprise a role made famous by her mom in Khoobsurat. That stern martinet who ruled with an iron hand and this gussied up meanie ---- night and day! There end all the Khoobsurat comparisons. I foresee Supriya Pathak chewing scenery with gusto. No matter how competent she is, it's hard to rise above the material.

I do have one huge peeve - can't desi TV write normal, real characters? 😡 Jingle and her gang reminded me of Fatty and the 5 Find-outers. All we needed was for Ya # 2 to swing by and say clear-orf! Enid Blyton khush hui - Gah! 😛

Yes-- I was also happy that supriya would reprise the role that her mom did ... but not sure how she is going to turn out... at the moment she looks very evil saasish!

As for sahan shakti -- DM needs to give me a lot to take care of the han part !!

ROFL on Fatty !! Mr Goon is a good name for Ya 2 -- really!!

hey doc😊 hru…i have same to same peeve……and totally agree v v difficult to match dina pathak's n rekha's panache…..n that is why i feel it would have been fairer for both sanaya n supriya to have shown them as original characters n not inspired ones...

Appears to be mixed, with folks willing to give a shot, mostly for YaYa.

YaYa is what has clicked for many and that was just for a five minute scene, that speaks volumes for what will work for this show and what should be promoted more. I would love to see more scenes with Sanaya and Supriya

Ok finally managed to watch and the verdict after 1st watch: if it wasn't for Sanaya i would have stopped after 10 minutes.
As expected Sanaya looks gorgeous and i love her hair; but her make-up esp in the saree needed to be toned down a little. But i was just really happy to see her back on screen radiating that beautiful smile😃.
To me it seemed more like watching Sanaya off screen; because i guess her character is so close to her real life self. Plus i did feel there was a Khushi hangover of sorts; it was like watching a more modern Khushi. That is why i was initially hoping she would chose a role that is radically different from Khushi so that enhances her scope of performance. Anyways today she managed to make me smile👍🏼; something that has not happened in tellyland for a long time..
The rest of it seemed pretty regular saas bahu/ family drama types except the doggies which was adorable. The very first episode laid the foundation of the strict orthodox saas and the modern in thought and appearance young bahu. I'm not much into family dramas but hopefully the Supriya-Sanaya (YaYa as Sri said) dynamics will be interesting to watch.
Lets see how the week unfolds..

Chanchan is definately a mixture of Sanaya and Khushi which may or not be a good thing, it is too early to judge. I'm hoping for Sanaya's sake this show works, it was great seeing her back on screen and bringing her character to life like always. YaYa is already winning over viewers, majority wants more
