KK, serials cater to the drawing room audience. By default many kids also watch these shows. So, some kind of restrictions are needed.
People leave the cinemas behind - when they come out of the theater,
cinema leaves their mind. But serials stay at home with them -
that is the difference. What do u all think folks?? let us have a
healthy discussion. thanks KK for starting this.

@KK - Your pov is noted.

It is definitely wrong when such scenes are shown in movies too. 😡

The television media has a larger reach when compared to movies.

In case of movies we go and see the villain at the Cinema halls, but in case of television we invite them to our living rooms. 😉

Whatever happens in the movies is for a max 3 hrs - you forget it after say max 3 weeks, do these serials see an end atleast in 3 years - speaking for sun tv - "never"

I think in cinema it will be in short duration and anyway hero will come and save the situation within 10-20minutes so we forget the bad things.Aaana seriala appadiya they make 100 episodes for this small sentiment and we have to see the scenes over a span of 4-6months including weekend break and before saving the situation comes the original scene is registered in our mind.Atleast having a small baby at home I'm disturbed by such scenes. Why not show positive things. When my kids goto sleep I like to watch some tamil serial to unwind and if I see such scenes enga irunthu thookam vara thukkam thaan varathu.
I loved the last scene alaga antha paapa inoru paapava thotuchu...I hope the other baby doesn't go back to beggar gang.Does Vadai have any brain ?Can't he tell his wife what happened .He neither does anything to fix nor he seeks other people help aparam eppadi baby varum.
Athuvum CM mathiri oru wife vachukittu unmaye sollama irukkalama.Ithu enna kodumai. The mother has every right to know about the child. CM should divorce him for hiding such a big matter.
Thanks
Desi

People will not leave cinemas behind. If they like the movie, they will keep DVDs in their houses tooo either action movies, romantic or kids movies...
But, Serials are not like that. We cant see the same scene again and again daily.
Daily, there will be new plot and who will remember these all episodes????????????
I dont mean that they can show anything, I just mean why you people are sooo against ???
This is a 9:30 slot serial , so I dont think Kids will be awake at this time.

@KK - am so against abortion and babies suffering, I have also seen the otherside, where people dont have children and almost are dying to have one... it hurts to see these scenes repeated... each one thinks about it and it is replayed over and over again... not blaming just Radhika but all who do it. You can come to the uravugal thread and see for yourself. We are crying hoarse there too...

If a movie shows baby getting tortured nobody will buy and stock such DVD's da chellam.. DVDs are bought only if the movie really touches you..

For people like me visiting a theatre is like once in a bluemoon.. But serial is like a everyday affair.. Scenes like this induct fear in us .. I get so scared that I always keep my kids under my surveillance..

If it a new plot everyday it is fine.. But here it is the same plot of baby kidnapped and tortured for months !!! How can one endure the same crying scene for months.. this way the serial will only loose veiwers..

Before getting to bed it would be nice if we see some happy moments .. Such scenes make our hearts heavy..

KK, be it cinema or serials , children should be left in peace. They should be involved only in movies / serials which are made specially
for them. Acting in such scenes will definitely affect their minds -
what will be the psychological impact??? When a kid gets adopted, they say that the child if abandoned, - even as an infant - will have insecurity issues as they grow - that is even if they find a nice home and good parents. I was surprised to learn this because I was under the impression that a 3 months old infant can not remember whatever happened in his/her life !!! Child psychologists say that almost every child will know the first hug or the first kiss !!! I condemn the parents who let their children undergo this abuse just for a few hundred rupees. Will Radhika let her child be used in scenes like this??? Or for that matter any of these people who are involved in these serials?? If it is not good for your child, then it is the same for others. Like Eclat says, graphics can be used , why involve a live baby?? Not just this serial, any serial which abuses children , needs to be criticized.
