Hmm for blending, you just place both layers on top, so, the picture and texture, and then on the main toolbar, click on the layer menu, and choose properties. Once you go on properties, there should be a drop down set to normal, click on that and go through all the options. I find Hradlight and Over Lay good, but the others are good with diff layers..

Ummmm as for blending, u select the Layer u want to blend, then go to Layers > Properties and change the number 100 to a lower number, depending on how much u want to blend the pic, the lower the number the more it will blend, does that help? 😕

Another way to blend, is by using the eraser tool
