So the other thing I loved about attending Indian weddings was being able to dress up in ethnic wear. I could never manage to wear a sari but I have some really nice salwar sets and a couple of lehengas. Of course they're all sitting in the back of my wardrobe at home... I wonder what will happen if I decide to randomly wear a lehenga to class this summer😆

I've considered wearing cotton kurtas over jeans but none of the ones I have are washing machine friendly and I just don't have the time and money to handwash/dry clean.

What do you guys wear in everyday life?

I've never attended a full fledged big fat Indian wedding. And I really hope my gujrati friends do invite me for theirs.

Coming to home clothes, i wear comfy PJ's and 3/4th (not sure what they're called otherwise) over loose tops.

*High five* on the comfy PJs! I swear I lived in those during the first part of the pandemic!
Are Gujrati weddings distinct from other North Indian ones?

Speaking of Indian outfits, those of you who have watched Bepannah, i really liked Mahi's outfits. They were like long fitted dresses over leggings? Were they a type of salwar?
(I hated Zoya's outfits, they made her look old and mumsy)

When I visited Turkey, mostly the women wore western clothes if I recall. A few women wore niqab and burkhas.

I think Jennifer Winget is beyond gorgeous and she looked very good with HC (in part because they looked like they were similar in age). But she wore these long heavy outfits and to me they just made her look very frumpy. I don't know what they're called, they were like a mix between a long heavy salwar and a lehenga.

And they made her run in them and in 5 inch wedge heels - poor woman😆
