Good morning guys! 🤗
Finally, it’s weekend and as promised, here I’m with my review on BPKH. 😛
Honestly speaking, I actually liked the pilot episode, or more like the makers’ approach here. 👍🏼 I watched the first two episodes and then FFed through the third one. Surprisingly the pace is exactly as it should be. They are showing a complete picture and there isn’t much to question.
Now the bigger question is do I find the characters likable? Yes, I do. 😎
So far Indu is going on a linear path but she’s strong. And the best part for me was how supportive Indu’s father is. I also loved how they normalized him being a cook and the beautiful bond between him and his wife. ❤️
Coming to Ritesh, this one is a bit tricky. When you look at his gesture, you realize pretty soon that this is a fictional character. The chance of finding someone like him in real life is next to impossible. Specially him supporting Indu over his sister despite not knowing anything about her and using his senses properly was a bit too much even if you are an optimist. And yet, such characters make a place for themselves in your heart. At least that’s how I feel. A person who’s helpful enough to lend a hand to a complete stranger on a rainy night or who can see through people’s real intentions - as impractical they are, I would love to watch them on my screen, specially if the episodes are directed in a proper way. 😊
One negative thing I could find was the character of Mahesh. There was no head or tail to his story like he was all hyper from the second he entered the scene and his audacity to insult even Ritesh left me shocked. It was pretty unrealistic. 🤔
And also, they should have toned down Ritesh’s dialogue. His two pages of paragraphs on the importance of love wasn’t necessary. Even the most righteous person wouldn’t go around praising love when you get to know that your sister is married to a scumbag. Having empathy for Indu was one thing. But the way they made it all about love - I found it unrealistic and distracting. 😵
Last but not least - the baby was so freaking cute! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
For some reason, it’s a bit difficult for me to accept that Indu felt so strongly for the infant that she brought her home. But being a sucker for stories based on mother-child bond, I’ll give my logical reasoning a pass. 🤪
So, this is my honest opinion based on the three episodes. What about you guys? 😉
