On a side note, there was a dialogue in my show for a catch and fall scene and I have never found so much logic before, totally fab. Should I tell what was it, I won't bother you with a clip and honestly it's tough finding clips aaj kal.

I was really happy with her signing a film with a National Award Winner Director and the next day I read she might have signed another movie with Akshay Kumar.

I was like... 🤢 🤢 🤢

Yeh stars apne aap ko sheeshe mein nahi dikhte hain kya? No offence but the desperate attempt of stars like SRK, Salman Khan and lately, Akshay to look young and star opposite actresses who practically look like their daughters is pukeworthy. 🤢 🤢 🤢

Niyati ne gayab hokar already bomb fod diya hai imo.

Oh well, she's usy in photoshoot but I don't like half of them. But at least she's earning and that's what matters. Rest I'm okay with her not working than watching her current lot of craps.

Why?

Well, I don't want to sound rude or something but the roles of the ladies in South Indian movies are limited to either being a romantic interest of the ML and adding some romance/fun quotient. I'm not saying that the FLs never have a significant role. Yes, there are a lot of movies where the female leads have a significant role. Unless the actress is a successful and a famous one, the FLs don't have that much scope... especially in small scale movies like this one (and a number of others that I have watched).

I have watched the trailer of the movie and here, the entire trailer was solely around the ML. Sonyaa was there in two scenes and her role seemed to be grey or total negative. Shivangi was there in a few scenes but those scenes were solely for the romance angle. Hence, idhar bhi I don't have much expectations ki Shivangi and Sonyaa will have a meaty role here... Sonyaa might have a decent role considering she is grey/negative but I doubt about Shivangi.

TBH, this is the bitter truth. I have heard a lot of good things about recent Malayalam movies but Tamil and Telegu films still depend on heroes' popularity and don't take it the wrong way, the VFX is just weird. I find the South Industry extremely overrated.

Definitely. The South Industry mainly depends on the Hero's popularity. If the movie stars a big Hero/Star, the entire story will be centered around him and the FL will merely be a prop for romantic scenes/dance numbers/songs etc. Yes, there are movies where the females have had good roles but their number is very less.

Hence, here too I am not expecting Shivangi to have a significant role... I mean neither of the two ladies got featured in a solo poster of their own, trailer mein bhi kuch bahut zyada ss nahi hai. To movie se kya hi expect kare?!

I won't kill you EVER for this behen because I haven't even watched the first movie completely, let alone watching both. I just have watched the battle scenes from both the parts of Baahubali and that too solely because of my interest in VFX (which you already know). And honestly, I literally fell asleep while watching the first one.

Can't comment on RRR because I haven't watched the trailer, let alone watching the movie.

But yes, their action scenes and VFX are generally unrealistic... I mean maximum action scenes make you go: "WTH is he actually doing?"

I won't lie, I have enjoyed watching several movies but those are the ones that involve more of acting and less of such weird action scenes/VFX.

Agree on everything. TBH that's the case with Bollywood as well. I have replied to Madhura about this so read it on the beginning of this page.

While OTT has its share of crass, one good thing post pandemic I have noticed is that more women-centric movies are gaining popularity there and for ones we can rely on acting. Like, I watched Jalsa last week on FF mode and Shefali Shah was outstanding.

And here all the hype I see regarding SRK's Pathan is his abs - pathetic!

I am asking since I have no idea about the show. What is this about actually? I mean I know two friends get married to the same guy. And then read something like the ML being a con-artist or something but I think I saw some clip where there were two prominent actors. 😳 To mamla kya hain? 😳

Definitely. I told you before also, I don't expect Radhika or any other actor/actress for that matter to star in only content-oriented shows/movies. At times they'll do commercial projects as well and if we don't like it, we are free not to watch it. At least with different medias now a lot of actors are experimenting and trying to strike a balance which is really good. 👍🏼

But my overall disgust was regarding the entire process. Even in TV I have seen it quite a few times. Older actors get paired opposite to actresses practically their daughters' age. And yes, it's about the casting directors' choice but you can't just say the Superstars are so Doodh Ke Dhula that they don't interfere at all. I mean from Amitabh Bacchan's Suryavansham to Akshay Kumar's Laxmi Bomb - sometimes pairing has been horrendous but they kept going on. At least Amitabh Ji adapted fast but the next generation is just...

Well that I have always agreed with you. Even the worst projects have something good about it. But there's a limit to giving the benefit of the doubt. And when 90% of the plot becomes redundant, it's difficult to be satisfied with the good 10%.
