From the film Choo Mantar (1956) sung by the incomparable Rafi and Geeta Dutt, composed by O.P. Nayyar and lyrics by Jan Nissar Akhtar.

Johnny Walker was a star in his own right and played the lead in many solo starrers. Choo Mantar was one of them, his co-star being Anita Guha in this one.

I like this song for its tune and also the plaintive lyrics. It's an atypical Johnny Walker song, his songs are usually the 'masti' bhara types, but this one is more subdued, and philosophical. It reflects in Rafi's voice which is mellower than he usually employs for Johnny Walker.
