ive just realised my accent has fully become like sarang even while talking. Heard my brother ask my mom, 'ye aik dum se khud ko hum kiun bol ri hai?'

Apologies if I'm wrong- I'm assuming you're Urdu speaking and potentially from PK (because of the way you romanise Aik and some other words), but surely some KHI folks would also use Hum?

yep im from pak and i live in khi yes ( how can you know that?!) but im from lahore and no, i dont think ive heard karachites say 'hum'.

I didn't assume you lived in KHI 😊, only that you were from PK.

@Bold, interesting- not even the older generation? Folks who would have migrated from what was the erstwhile United Provinces (today's UP, essentially the place where Sarang is shown to be from), tend to speak that way, and I thought there were a fair few in Khi (essentially the Mohajirs and their descendants- native Urdu speakers)

For what it's worth, I use hum a fair bit too, especially while speaking 😃

It isn't for being cool 😃- for some folks, it's just the way they've been brought up or learn the language.

Some might think it a tad pompous to refer to yourself in the third person, and I'm from a city where hum is perhaps the least used in India, but it's the way it is. 😊

arey i was talking about myself. I use it for that reason.

Also, i dont think of it a tad pompous. i think it sounds cute and respectful.

Akhil is raw agent hence the secrecy. Probably in code cracking stuff 😆
