Indeed a great read and points. I find the whole movie cringe, didn't bother to see cast. Plus my friend saw some of it and said, unnecessary Hindu Muslim angle or something is brought up. Lately I hate the way religion is mocked or degraded on all platforms.

Agreed. The entire movie is a cringe fest. But Akshay-Kiara pairing actually looked horrible.

My biggest issue with the film is why did they have to make it funny or waste so much time on the protagonist being possessed?

The original transgender issue alone could be sufficient. The only few minutes I actually enjoyed was the FB of how Laxmi was wronged & Sharad Kelkar was amazing. 👏 I had tears in my eyes when they killed Laxmi. 😭

Instead, they wanted to make it an Akshay show and ghusofied unnecessary scenes in name of humor.

The Hindu-Muslim angle didn't make much difference to me. Haven't there been enough movies where protagonists were from different religion? But the way people reacted to it, that made me think they should have never inserted this angle.

And I agree, religion shouldn't be mixed just aivanyi because it hurts the sentiment of people.

I watched the trailer accidentally and couldn't even watch that few minutes clip completely... I absolutely disliked it. Neither did I find horror in it nor comedy.

Akshay-Kiara pairing was horrible... I found it totally cringeworthy.

Haan, I'm definitely going to watch Sharad Kelkar's scenes when I get to watch the movie cos I have heard a lot of praises of his acting and role.

Rest, I can watch the original Kanchana any number of times... I actually love the original movie. It's my guilty pleasure movie...

I mainly tried to watch it for all the hype as well as controversy. Couldn't seat through the first 15 minutes and read the synopsis of Kanchana & finished watching it in super FFed mode.
