Dey ,
People do all kinds of stupid things in love. If converting to the husband's or wife's religion lets you skip a lot of avoidable controversies and complications, that is each one's personal choice. I mean , one can have a fighter mentality and stand up for rights or ignore it and concentrate on a life without such complications at the risk of being called a coward - everyone has a reason for the choices they make. I just respect that, so long as it doesn't kill or hurt someone else.

In this day and age, I don't know if spouses need to convert, but if there's some complication like the husband and his family will be outcast because of your stubbornness and you don't want his old parents to go through that...well, I'd call that kindness.

Conversion is not needed for inter religious marriage. They get married under special marriage act. In its latest judgement the SC of India made it absolutely clear that a woman doesnt lose her identity not does her identity merge with her husband after marriage.
Will be an outcaste? Like really? If social outcasting is the reason , let me tell you it still happens if you convert. Recently, there was a case where a woman was divorced because her husband had learnt she was born of a Hindu mother. Her mother had converted to Islam before marriage. Prejudices is a wrong excuse. This particular couple probably do not even belong to that class which can face social bias So, its not kindness to begin with.
Conversion is not really respected and conversion for marriage is unethical. Its absolutely fine if she uses this identity henceforth and follows Islam diligently. If she tries to retain her identity and conversion is just to avoid controversy and complications then shame on her. I am saying this because she ain't the first one to do it. Many personalities have used it to get married and then retained their original identity.

Also, when you choose a life partner from another religion, you should prepare yourself for all the complications that will follow. Running away is never a solution. People do stupid things in love but those things are still stupid.

I'll try my best to not quote much 😆 ST I agree it's a pain to read when on phone.

The Papon controversy: disgusted by the parent statement and fella himself having the audacity to say camera angle was wrong 😡 dude it was a live chat and we have eyes to see. Talking about his marriage status and singing praises of his character 🤢 the celebrities who havd come out to support this fella 👏 shows your standards. This nation money and connections let's you get away with anything. When there's solid evidence why is he allowed to walk freely and give gyaan?? I'm sure in the west these kind of cases swift action is taken.
Frankly kids shouldn't be allowed to participate in these reality and fictional shows. There's a possibility of kids ending up as victims. Not every common man's child has access to swift action like Zaira wassim plus when parents themselves Are running behind money and fame kids really have no protection.

Ecri,Chick: EDKV nAmik was ok intially his voice modulation and expressions were mediocre but towards the end he owned Shravan. All credit goes to Jha for developing the story and characters. From ipk3 I understood an actor can work on what's given the scope to improvise has limitations.so if a story works out the writers definitely gets the credit. Jhas new show can either be a hit or a ipk3 kinda satyanash if he plans to do a revised EDKV but hoping he's better than a certain someone 😆

Deepika changing her name , it's her life her choice but the message given out is quiet in a love marriage isn't it all about being oneself? Compromises yes Is normal but drastic change to identity I don't know what to say. If she had done this long before marriage it would have been different. Anyway all said and done hope these couple enjoy their marriage.

Word Dey 👏 I know many who have accepted the other religion as gracefully without being converted. At times she follows husbands religion more rigidly but that is on her own accord after marriage without conversion.
How is it love if that wants someone to change in name of religion caste and creed. But as Soup said people do funny things in love.

Ecri let me know your experience. Especially Ranvirs acting. For his acting alone one must watch it. I read they had to cut many scenes is that correct?

Is Vodka shot out? On which app is it?

WORD... havent watched the video, whatever I read here about the under age contestant and Pappon is very disturbing. What is more worrisome is no action will be taken against the singer even though there is proof of his action because the parents themselves will not file a complaint.

Namik really went from wooden to owning the character towards the end of EDKV. As Benna said all credit to Jha for developing story and characters. BTW, EDKV fandom is still demanding season 2 with original cast on Twitter.

Who all are planning on watching Yeh pyar nahi? I do plan on watching first few weeks and then will decide if I want to continue. Honestly I can not handle more than 2 shows. YUD and Blacklist keeps me busy. I stopped all other angrezi shows.

Even I was not impressed with Namik . That's why I said 'even'.

RKC - well, if they had to wrap it up all. . There definitely was a better way. Nice to know the PH believes in fairytale endings. 😆

Dipika Kakkar - Faiza is a nice name. Rest , it is her life. She can do what she wants with it. I just hope they stay happy with their choices.

Did you mean Namik or Namit?? Pls clarify 😆

Dude, of course, its her life and she has done what she had to. But I wish before making that statement you had read through the entire news. She converted not to uphold the beliefs of Islam or condone inter religion marriage, its for an altogether different reason, that goes against the secular image of this country.
AND coming from a celeb like her, condoning conversion here, sets an extremely bad image for the people at large and sends a wrong signal too. Pls read through the comments of the article and there is a reason why I posted it here.
Btw, no one objected to A R Rahman changing his religion, his life, his will 'shrugs'

Anyway, dont wanna bring too much attention to the CC but yes, between Shoaib and Dipika, as people put it here, Shoaib has the upper hand. Also, this is Dipika's second marriage and maybe, that has been a deterrent as well. Who knows?

Word

Add to that, what message are you sending out to the youth for whom you as a celeb are a prodigy, especially the youngsters who relate to her as Simar. 😕

I would also like to add to it, since I am still in Padmavat mode, that like Sati and Jauhar, there was a ritual in earlier times when during the time of the marriage the girl's name was changed. I am not sure if you have heard/ read about it, it happened to my grandmother as well.
People used to believe that marriage was a rebirth for a lady, Idk how cos I always felt motherhood was that, but yes, now that has been done away with.

So ironically, changing names for/ not for religion on just convenience is nothing but a facade, that is legally not necessitated or attributed or even required.

I am friends with hundreds of couples who are from different religion, some within and some outside the industry and trust me the kids are far less prejudiced and more liberal than the kids of parents who are from the same religion.

You are being politically correct 😆

I agree with the Papon controversy, its all so disheartening and yet, real. 🤢 Btw this 'istandbypapon' is sickening to the T.
