This is Barbaric. Its irony Ecri I just finished Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and her lead was being abused by her own father at the early age of 5 or 7 (can't remember). While reading i thought its just fictional and the author has a right to imagine. But looks like no its the way this world works. Else why would one have a saying which means don't trust your real father?

At times ignorance is bliss and this is one such case.

Haider in tanhaiyan was the character that convinced me that Sobti is a brilliant actor and if given a good character, he'll nail it!!

Read your take on the hindutva theme and how these people handled it so badly. I'm not a Hindu and not from Allahabad but even a clueless person like me was cringing seeing the execution of the plot. It's quiet obvious these people took audience for granted and as madam G claimed true Sobti fans will watch it!! The little attention and eyeballs it grabbed was because of the said person but one can't swallow anything Just cause we like an actor plus tv shows are not one man's show.

No wonder the repeats of IPK1 and 2 get more TRPs. 😆

There's no doubt that the whole ipk franchise and ASR character was taken so lightly by the makers. They are interested only in trolling and petty drama 😉 now I'm not surprised why the GECs are reluctant to introduce seasonal format of shows 😕

Ah, Gul took Sobti;s stardom too seriously and also, didnt bother with the script and the shoddy editing and direction initially. She thought Sobti redoing IPK1, would undo that and create more memories for the audience.The viewers are plain dumb and will take she throws on them.

And she loves Harneet and Shirali, so this was a given

Two shows that i am currently watching are RKC and IPK3. Although not sure how much longer can i sustain the second one. Even with all my love for the actor the show is cringeworthy. It is beyonds one imagination. How low can a person stoop. One can not connect to any of the character and everything in that show is wrong. Writing, characters, sets, musics, clothes, promos, everything and yet i am here discussing this show😲. I am not judging any one but can not understand how any sane lady can like Chandni's character? 🤔.

Creatives have lost it and then showing Hindutva in bad light Will respond to that post here on Hindutva later.

RKC - A very well executed show. 👏⭐️

Nandy - That link is hilarious😆 especially the picture you posted.

Ranjitha - Haider Ali although was a cliched subject we as an audience can connect to both leads and their pain. That is the success of the show.

Ecri - You are spot on how audience needs to connect emotionally. This is the same audience who fasted when Mihir Virani was dead. It has not evolved much. I have friends (Very educated ones who were in school/college) who did it. These friends are now the part of TRP group. So that is the main reason why they need to connect. They want to watch this sapno ki duniya and be part of it to forget that their spouse does not give them time. They see their spouse in all those leads that are famous. These are the people whose kids have grown up and all of a sudden have too much time on hand and does not know what to do. For sure they don't want to see a male lead burning female lead. Its regressive at all levels. Even for those who are watching the naagin show as when they are watching naagin show they know what they are signing in for.

Here too I have friends that discuss the shows and their fashions. If the female lead does not wear good clothes that show is not supposed to be watched. (This comes from friends that watches each and every show that comes on TV)

PS - Looking at the census its safe to not watch today's epi on IPK3😛 for sanity of one's self.😆

Glad to have you here and thank you for being there. Its a pleasure chatting up with you and i need more of your time but I know its limited, so I am happy with what you give here. 😳

On point of IPK3..

Its a case of script gone bad and no matter what the makers do, certain things cannot be salvaged even if the show is surviving. And the worst is the FL. I agree with you that anyone of the modern day and educated women cannot connect with Chandni. Like i said at least Khushi was uneducated but she had a brain, this one is plain dumb and crass.

Bhavi, so very well put that TV is a escape from reality. Yes, no matter how much time we spent on a show/ shows, the impact remains and with the impact there is a longing of happiness which eludes most, if not all, in real life and the fiction suffices for the void, filing it up temporarily and keeping the bait going for another new day.

Also, most families bond over this show and dinner, prime time shows, where families live in a joint set up and eat together with the TV set running behind them. And surely a show like YRKKH and SNS, grabs eyeballs over an IPK3. Its human nature to crave and seek solace and for some the shows are a way of seeking solace.

IPK3 tonight? Bhavi, just watch the scenes of the leads, though I think for today a WU should be good. But there were some light hearted moments which you may like 😊
