Any man would have died to have her unless they got to know who she exactly was.

I like Maya too as a psycho character but she's a lot more Indianized version. The terrible childhood was chipped in to have sympathy for her. They never wanted to promote her as an out and out black vamp. I don't think teh CVs can afford a balck character like Amy on prime time Indian show. On the other hand Amy gave no reason to feel anything for her, for how cruel she was but you would still see people cheering on her. Well, that's the power of a well written and well enacted character! That's why Maya is drab at times unlike Amy who is full of surprises. I don't hate Amy, the fictional character. She's definitely someone I will detest in my real life. But as a fan of thriller genre, she's one of the best written characters ever!

On Arjun - yes I agree that he's too bhola bhala to pull off a Nick but I am pretty sure his character is inspired from Nick only. But he too is Indianized and tamed down a lot.

The amount of similarities GG and Beyhadh have are uncanny. Anyone who has watched GG and now watches Beyhadh will automatically begun to the connect the two. It's only after having watched myself do I understand this or all the references made were going straight above my head. 😆 Now, even I'm pretty certain that the CV's have drawn major inspiration for this show from GG (read : trying to emulate but failing so bad.) If, only if they hadn't tried to white wash Maya's character at various instances, given proper development and growth to all characters (atleast, the trio) and not care about the TRP's, this show would have been so good even if all they aimed was at a straight copy of GG.

Whoa in the book amy acuses her dad of sexual abuse????🤢 a few years ago i would watch something and immediately dive into books and now i have so many pdfs and yet no time to even read. Gah i should download and read it, heard the book was way better than movie. So maybe CVs tried to incorporate the book too, Maya was actually abused by Ashwin. They imply a lot of things without saying anything leaving open for interpretation, which I love but frustrates me a lot too!
Dexter was really really best, especially s2 which is imp the best season. And then Hannibal of course. Once again silence in the lamb is lying in laptop yet didn't watch 🤣

WHOA. WHAT. THAT. IS. OKAY. 😳 Yeah, I have heard the book is a lot better than the movie. The movie itself is good, the book must be really great then. I have lots of PDF's too but I'm not quite a fan of reading on screen. The feels of the book in hand, the smell of the paper, the words printed on the paper...sigh. *drifts back into time HP was on*

It's perfectly okay to leave the things to interpretation but CV's don't quite do that, they just confuse you. Like, mindlessly playing around and stuff that wouldn't even perhaps make sense in the last episode. Silence in the lamb, what's that?

I LOVE The silence of the lambs! Anthony Hopkins won an academy award for ~14 minutes of screen time in the entire movie. The movie's ending scene is a masterpiece😆

Sorry just dropping in to say this. I've been having quite a couple of busy days so might come back again some other time.
And Ri - I want to type such a LOOONG REPLY on our discussion pm so I'll do that when i can sit and be all free.😆

I JUST WANTED TO SAY I WILL NOT FORGIVE MAYA! HERE I SAID IT.
I've a trigger for animal cruelty. I sat there for an half hour almost traumatized. They better not be real goldfish and better be computerized because if they were real and they were made to writhe and tremble in agony like that I don't want to imagine it.

Animal cruelty is at the top of my unforgivable crimes. MAYA DIDN'T JUST KILL THEM SHE MADE THEM SUFFER LIKE THAT AND KILLED THEM. Just so she can prove what? Fire off another mahaan dialogue? I want to puke.

Animals are the most beautiful, rawest part of nature. They're innocent beings. People who torture or kill animals are on MY SHITLIST and I am not forgiving this.

IF SHE'S NOT MENTALLY ILL and she's a psychopath -- obviously CVs have taken a lot of liberties with the word psychopath and have their own version of one--then you can understand her action but that also doesn't leave any sympathy for this character or the hopes to see her redeemed because psychopaths DON'T REDEEM!!! THEY'RE LIKE THIS FOREVER (You reading CVs?)

And if she did in all consciousness I hope her tarap tarap sentence reverses on her! I just want to puke.

Samay can be either a DESI COLLINGS - The strongest possibility (I'm not exactly confident in the CVs abilities to come up with original or clever storylines given the evidence😆)
or he can be a double agent like Snape was. Double agents are very hard to pull off and the writing needs to be clever. If the CVs can pull it off hats off to them--it'll be intelligent writing but the idk if they'll exactly give so much importance to a cameo😆 idek if he's one or a staple. But the guy definitely had insane vibes in the washed flashback they showed and his voice modulations.

So let's see.

Arjun you're asking her why SHE LEFT YOU? Maybe because you slapped her and threw her out and said things like 'gandi zabaan door leke jaao.' But you obviously expect her to bend over for you which she does all the time so 😆

Saajun look endgame. To me their conflicts as a romance angle always had the greater graph and plot in comparison to Maya Arjun. But I just don't give a damn anymore.😆

Saanjh - no comments.

P.S. Thank you Husna for helping calm me down.😆

Husna: I wrote a long reply to the GG/Dexter post of yours but I.F decided to gobble it all up
GG received such polarizing reviews from the audience at large anyway, so I'm not surprised at your views on the movie as well. I personally was very satisfied with the ending and could have been happy even if she'd been arraigned for the murder of Desi and setting Nick up.

Dexter is an ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH. The reason why I said you could relate to him is because of the way the character is written in such an engaging way and his monologues lend insights into his inner psyche and way of thinking. It's a masterpiece in writing⭐️👏

SERIOUSLY! Why WHY did she kill them? I wanted to puke and beat her with a bat when she took so much pleasure in their writhing. IT WAS DISGUSTING! Animal cruelty.😭
