Watched Mahek almost after three weeks !!!!
Can't believe that three weeks went by. Guess time flies when you are having a great time 😆Didn't miss TV at all.
Same me used to try and catch BV episodes in what ever way possible cos never wanted to miss even a single episode😛

Not much seemed to have happened since the time I left Mahek.
Marriage is yet to happen.Looks like he is going to marry her without disclosing the fact that he ran his car over her parents when he was a teenager. This I guess this thing will be used by nasty Nani and assorted baddies to create troubles.

Hi!!! Me is still on Bahubali😛😆

Came across some interesting analysis of Bhallala Deva's character.I found myself agreeing to this.I think Rajamouli got cold feet in showing Bhalla's dark side in detail probably fearing Rana's popularity as the main lead.

Not Baahubali, Bhallaladeva is most interesting character in the SS Rajamouli film

Grand, majestic, magical, path-breaking - these are the few adjectives used by fans and the media to describe director SS Rajamouli's magnum opus that released on Friday worldwide to an unparalleled response. It was a rare sight to see a houseful board outside single screen theatres, in spite of releasing on a record number of screens across the country. Rajamouli has taken a simple story of envy and rivalry between two warring brothers and turned it into India's one of the biggest film franchise. We have seen this story play out on the big screen several times and in different timelines. But, the presentation of this age-old story is what makes Baahubali 2 the biggest motion picture in India.

Well, reviewing the film, many critics have lauded Prabhas's performance in the film. The actor plays a double role in the film, including the titular role. And, yes all the appreciation he has been getting is well deserved, given that he spent last four years on this movie. (He has a track record of releasing at least two films a year). But, it is surprising that Rana Daggubati's role in the film as Bhallaladeva has eluded the attention of the critics. I found Bhallaladeva the most fascinating among all characters in the film. Baahubali's charms have overshadowed Bhallaladeva in the minds of the audience. Let's face it, the characterisation of Baahubali is very plain and simple. We have seen such roles from the time cinema came into being. He is an epitome of honesty, love, valour and decency. And he is boring. It is always the bad guys (people who are honest to their instincts) in a story that make things interesting.

Bhallaladeva was always ready to kill to ascend the throne of Mahishmati. And unlike his father Bijjaladeva, he was neither a cripple nor was his character weak (at least in the beginning). He was a strong, confident and ruthless warrior and had the unquenching desire for power. The only and main quality Bhallaladeva lacked is compassion, which made him lose the throne to Baahubali. In the first part, his character showed grey spots but the sequel chronicles his progression into darkness. His desire for power takes him down a treacherous path and pushes him to do hideous things to achieve his goal. But, the way he achieves his desire, deprives him of people's respect and love, which leaves a great void in him. Despite having everything, he feels like he has nothing. And begins to do darker things. In a defining moment in Baahubali 2, Bhallaladeva loses his sanity completely and embrace the darkness and transforms into a fully hateful character. Until, that moment he deserved the benefit of the doubt, maybe, just maybe, he would have made a decent king, if people had accepted him as one.

Read | Bahubali 2 movie review: Bahubali The Conclusion is bigger, but not better

Although the essence of Baahubali series is enmity between two brothers, writer KV Vijayendra Prasad has convincingly established that even noble people tend to become blind to the truth and forget to be just, when their egos get hurt. It just makes them human. He has also handled big ideas very well. Like, who is the real king? The one who sits on the throne or the one who commands people's undivided love and respect?

Baahubali was a good man and he died the same. Bhallaladeva did not have the best of virtues from the beginning. His actions were guided by basic human emotions such as jealousy, envy, desire and loneliness. And eventually, he dies as a lovelorn and evil dictator. He is the only character that achieves such a huge transformation through the course of the film.

This is a summary of Shivagami's character which I came across somewhere.I have a slightly different view on her equation with her DIL .

She is a woman of substance, integrity, and wisdom. She is opinionated and stands up for what she believes in. She is a fiery warrior to be reckoned with. She wields power that is overwhelming and unmatchable. She is a profound leader, extremely compassionate about her people.

She is the epitome of justice. She is Sivagami.

She rose from the ashes of vengeance after her father was executed and dubbed a traitor by the Mahishmathi kingdom. She rose to power and respect; to excellence and adulation as the Maharani of the very same kingdom. She then falls. And, she falls high.

Sivagami is undoubtedly the central and the most powerful character in the epic movie franchise, Baahubali. All through the franchise and its prequel novel, "The rise of Sivagami" she is the one who drives the story and decides the fate of all the major characters.

In both the novel as well as the movie, Baahubali 1: The Beginning, she is shown as the "woman of valour". However, her character was ruined with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. She is portrayed as a woman of power, but the fact is she is effectively driven by her ego and anger. She ends up doing everything that she had once fought against.

Traitor

When she was as young as five, her father was branded a traitor and cruelly executed by the king of Mahishmathi. All her life, she wanted to destroy the kingdom, and during the course of the film, she finds a way to clear her father's name.

She then goes on to become the Queen of Mahishmathi. Fast forward to 40 years and her foster son, Baahubali, who is her protg, is branded a traitor by the king of Mahishmathi. She is now not helpless or powerless. She is the Rajamata of the kingdom. And what does she do? She puts her intelligence and wisdom to rest and hatches a plan to assassinate Baahubali - not much different from her father's execution.

A woman's modesty

During the battle between the Kalakeyas and Mahishmathi, the king of Kalakeya offers Sivagami to let him take over the kingdom of Mahishmathi and have a child with him. Her sons - Baahubali and Bhallala Deva are enraged at the insult of their mother, but she doesn't lose her cool.

A year later, when a woman's modesty is outraged in her own kingdom by its Commander-in-Chief, she comfortably perches on her throne while the victim - a pregnant woman - is confined in chains. How can she guarantee safety to the common woman of her state when even a member of the royal family is unsafe?

Evil mother-in-law?

While looking for a bride for Baahubali, Sivagami asks the ministers to look for a woman of impeccable character, and when she finds one, she chooses to change and instead focuses on the ostentatious.

Or, was she insecure of another equally strong woman? Did the makers draw inspiration from the saas (mother-in-law) in Ekta Kapoor shows?

Or, did they intentionally diminish her character so as to elevate that of Baahubali's wife, Devasena? She takes the decision about Devasena's marriage with Bhallala Deva without even asking for her consent. In fact, when Devasena refuses to marry him, she orders the guards to arrest her. Is this the dharma she taught her children? Is this the rich heritage of Mahishmathi she was boasting about?

Sivagami remains one of the most iconic and powerful female fictional characters in the history of Indian cinema. It had more potential to grow and would have been better off without the makers falling to gender stereotyping.

But alas, Sivagami's strength has been compromised just for commercial interests " to somehow get Baahubali assassinated by her command.

They could have still done so, with a better shade to the character than ruining it altogether. They can't just walk away by giving Sivagami the petty "It's my Paap (sin), and this is how I redeem it" position.

Hi all !!
Finally Mahek and Shaurya started their married life.
Mahek looked very beautiful ⭐️and her husband with a troubled mind still managed to look hot😳

From the precap it looks like they brought back the angry frustrated and troubled Shaurya back.

Getting irritated with Nasty Nani and her daughter. Show didn't need them🤢😡

-----------------------

Just read the news that some one who must not be named here was *faced with sudden ouster*from his show.
Hope he exhibits better judgement while taking up his next show.Someone should tell him that it is not just one's character that matters but more importantly how much the character contributes to the story.

Also I hope that next time he chooses a role that displays his strengths and not shortcomings as an actor.
