JWM and Love Aaj Kal were definitely massy man. Cocktail sort of falls somewhere in the middle I feel when it comes to the storyline but the music was darn popular which is another reason I think it did as well as it did. As for the rest , haven't seen Socha Naa Tha but Tamasha , RockStar and Highway I don't think can be considered massy. They were more meant for the multiplex audience. Imtiaz is one of those directors who can strike that balance like yamyam said but his last three films can't be referred to as mass entertainers.

Considering the movie is being filmed in Europe so the budget would obviously go up quite a bit but I'm interested in knowing as to how much of the movie they will film in India. I read somewhere that only 20% of it will be filmed in India and if that's the case then that'll affect the budget. Although I personally think more than 20% of it would be shot in India. I'm sure Imtiaz has learnt his lessons from Tamasha when it comes to the budget. I don't know if you have seen it or not but I think they shot the ending in Japan which I don't think was needed at all.
