[Love aaj kal, JWM, SNT, cocktail or even Rockstar are all commercial movies made for the masses... Imtiaz balances both kind of movies

Socha Na Tha , Jab We Met , Love Aaj Kal , Cocktail (wrote the script of it ) , RockStar , Highway and Tamasha. Now judge for yourself :)

JWM and Love Aaj Kal were definitely massy man. Cocktail sort of falls somewhere in the middle I feel when it comes to the storyline but the music was darn popular which is another reason I think it did as well as it did. As for the rest , haven't seen Socha Naa Tha but Tamasha , RockStar and Highway I don't think can be considered massy. They were more meant for the multiplex audience. Imtiaz is one of those directors who can strike that balance like yamyam said but his last three films can't be referred to as mass entertainers.
