I agree there. I think he should have stayed true to his vision even though one doesn't know if that would have changed the outcome at the BO. But at least he would have been satisfied with the fact that he made what he wanted to. Then again I guess I can understand why he felt pressurized to give the Shahrukh and Kajol fans something too because a huge draw of Dilwale was indeed their pairing. And for me their pairing was the best part of the movie.

So there were reports that said he wanted to make a remake of Hum? If I'm not wrong even when it came to CE , I remember Shahrukh saying in some interview that Rohit initially came to him wanting to make a remake of Angoor but then narrated him the idea or story of CE as he said ..let's make this first or something on those lines.
