I was raised in a rather progressive household and went to such kind of school too ...never had such an experience. People there talked of Sex openly. The girls of our class had to take sex ed for plantation workers and I remember none would show up becoz of the topic and we had to go to their houses in the tea estates.

Have you seen AIB's How I Raped Your Mother series? That talks about the general mindset of people when it comes to marital rape. It is hilarious but disgusting at the same time.
