The hero conquered Heroine's country as per his King's command... and then he was to bring her back to his country, to his King, as she was 'the prize' and she should marry one of the King's baron... throughout the journey she many a times tried to escape and he bested her...and everytime he did so, he said to her - checkmate

When they reached the destination , the King asked every baron, willing to marry her, to come and fight for her..every baron was ready to fight for her except the hero ...but then Heroine saved Queen's niece , and as a gratitude, she was given the choice to chose a husband...
