SORRY I was away due to health reasons!

But now I'm much better..

I re-watched the entire show recently. Just have to say that so many years have passed but yet no show has been able to create the kind of brilliance Gulaal created on screen. The cinematography, the talented cast, the power-packed & crisp writing. LIKE NO SHOW.

No matter how many times I re-watch the show, I go through the same emotions all over again...crying at Kesar's sadness of not being able to click one proper photo of him & Gulaal...smiling like a teenage girl at GK 'flirting' outside the temple...dumbfounded by the 'pareshaani' scene.

CAN WE EVER HAVE SUCH MAGIC ON SCREEN AGAIN? Like I can't even pick between the GK scenes because each of them were so freaking amazing.

HOW DOES THIS SHOW DO THIS TO ME EVEN AFTER FREAKING 5 YEARS?

1. that scene when Kesar tells Gulaal that she can only stay back in this house 'agar tujhe mujhse pyaar ho jaaye'

2. GK's first hug after Dushyant's truth is revealed to everyone

3. the 'aakhri photo khichana tha..usmein bhi main aadha bahar reh gaya'

Rigjt sam! No other show has been able to create that same magic for me as gulaal! There was something about this show, which still makes us miss thmonths backnever happened with any other show i watched 😳 And u knw few months i saw gulaal musical promo on YouTube, God it was so beautifully picturised... As it was some movie promo! And the music was damn good! And u knw that promo itself hinted towards kesar and gulaal angle lol, when a camel passes by gulaal, both vasant and kesar were sitting on it, admiring gulaal so many hints from the beggining...! Badant was merely a zariya for bringing gulaal and kesar together 😳

I have yet to come across such a unique concept on tv! Seriously Gulaal is one underrated gem !

SAME HERE! Nothing on Indian TV comes even close to Gulaal...even after so many years. *SIGH*

Do you have the link of the musical promo? Gulaal did have some really amazing music right from Piyu Maari to the whiplash music to the haunting tune used on Kesar..and even that melodious tune they used on Gulaal. So many beautiful tunes.. my favourite has got to the be this tune they used a lot in the last month after Kes/Gul moved into their own house.

Yeah Kes/Gul were hinted from the beginning

The priest mentioned that Gulaal will have 2 weddings

Young Kesar wanting to get married to Gulaal

and so many more..

Hi! Just now realised my post had so many typos lol... But anyways u can get that promo on youtube, just type gulaal promo and you will get it. Yes so many hints were given from the beginning, even during the wedding sequence young kesu mentioned that he wants to het married to gulaal too.. Lol how adorable he was!😆

I still find it amazing how Kes/Gul confrontations never got repetitive..each had their own flavour to it.

The explosive chemistry/tension in the 'pareshaani' scene

The burning of the chunar.. Kesar's possessiveness at its peak.. you don't want my chunar right so I'll burn it. The shock on finding out that Talli loves him & then the anger that Gulaal promised Talli of marriage with Kesar

Kesar's desperation & his inability to hold it in VS Gulaal's pride... 'tera mujh par koi haq nahin hai Kesar'

'mera aur Gulaal ka kya rishta hai' to a simple & sincere 'main tujhse pyaar karta hoon Gulaal'

'Mat jaa Gulaal'

Gulaal's 'main aayi nahin laayi gayi hoon'

Kesar's realisation that he was being too ziddi & was forcing Gulaal against her wishes.. 'tu bhi toh ek aurat hai..kyun maar rahi hai apne andar ki aurat ko'

GK becoming friends FINALLY but Gulaal being Gulaal, unable to see his sincerity 'tu kyun meri khushi ka itna khayal rakhta hai' and Kesar's disappointment that he will always be wrong in her eyes

The refreshing role reversal of G trying to manao Kesar.. to her calling K her husband & wanting to stay back

The heartwrenching scene of K telling G that this is possible only 'agar tujhe mujhse pyaar ho jaaye'

Their hidden tears.. revelation of Dushyant's truth.. the disaster.. to 'aakhri photo kheechna tha tere saath..usmein bhi main aadha bahar reh gaya'

The breaking of the deeyarvattu & the confession finally.. 'tera bina jeene ki aadat nahin rahi Kesar'

SIGH I remember each & every moment of their love story. IT WAS ALL SO BEAUTIFUL. In just a span of 5 months, the progression we saw in their relationship.. in Kesar.. in Gulaal was AMAZING.

Kesar grew up..from his childishness & his anger to a true man who let her free, for her happiness

Gulaal grew from suppressing her desires to acknowledging her love for Kesar & her need to be loved, & love despite being a widow & Vasant's wife

And sam almost all gulaal kesar scenes were my favourite, but my most favourite has to be that bagh sequence, when talli takes gulaal and kesar to an aam ka bagh and there the way kesar looks at gulaal !! Ufff!!! And the way he walks around admiring the free gulaal running around ❤️ the whole sequence was so beautifully shot in slowmo and gulaal looked damn beautiful... I have always noticed that the scenes in which kesar was to admire gulaal's beauty, they were so so good, it was like not only kesar but we are also admiring gulaal, such was its connect! The director was excellent, the transition of the relationship between gul-kes was so beautiful that not once we felt weird or anything...

And u know pre leap the story was told through gulaal's pov and after leap it was kesar's pov all the way... Therefore we felt for kesar more!
