There has been a lot of speculation about who will star in the film version of Chetan Bhagat's novel Half Girlfriend'. While there have been reports that Athiya Shetty and Alia Bhatt have been roped in, latest reports suggest that the female lead role has been bagged by Katrina Kaif. Also, it seems Sushant Singh Rajput may well be seen opposite Kaif.

There are probably still going to be many names associated with the film before a real cast is finally confirmed for the Mohit Suri directorial. However, it seems the film is expected to go on the floors next year and, at the moment, rumours have it that Kaif and Singh Rajput arr the lead pair.

Bhagat's film 2 States' (2014) was a hit at the box office and it could well be that Half Girlfriend' also finds a place in the audience's hearts.
