lol i was stuck this series! It is my other fav player's Sangakkara's final goodbye.. tomorrow he will play for the last time on our soil...
So I am kinda not wishing either way.. I love them both..

And I am surprised why people say it is his worst form/bad phase.. It is Indian team's worst form in Test cricket maybe.. But NOT his..
I read enough stats on that guy daily to know that! Yesterday twitter was filled with the trend for his 7yrs in the ICT..

And don't forget if blaming MSD is wrong for losing the Bangladesh ODI series so is blaming VK for the whole team's loss.. Ones like Rohit Sharma needs to be brought to task, not the guy who actually scores! And which is what is happening..
In Australia the last test series the whole team fell short, while he scored 5 consecutive centuries.., he always justifies why he is there..
he is the ONLY player in the world right now ranking in the top 10 of all 3 formats of cricket..

And I don't get why if MSD's wife and daughter r not blamed for team failures under his lead, why VK's GF and his personal life is blamed just cz she isn't his wife yet!
It is regressive mindset at its worst!

And I am a person who half the time cheers India against Sri Lanka jsut cz of Virat!

I agree that people act really weird when it comes to their favourite team losing. It's just a sport! Why take it so seriously? Winning and losing is a part of it. Why the heck would people blame only one player for the defeat? It's the team playing so it should be the team's responsibility as a whole, not the captain only. I really don't understand people sometimes!

^^ I dont like him.. 😛 be it before anushka or after anushka ... I am an engineer and we were taught Project management.. If the team leader sucks ..the teams sucks too ... and the project will only meet failure... you going and hitting a century wont help ... atleast not when you are captain!

Dhoni have never been a century sucker ...he only and only thought how can he win a match!! Thats exactly what a team leader does! Dhoni is the BEST captain India have ever seen! And he had earned ever bit of that title!

I am not a cricket fan, and see it as any other sport . ..so i really dont care much who wins or loss ... ya, if its a WC .. then i do want India to win .. 😆

And i have never blamed anushka for anything virat does ... no BF wants to get out at 0 when his GF is sitting in the audience ... common sense 😆 Some people really dont have!

@Shivi - the only sport I care about is cricket.. I don't even know whatever in the world happens in other sports..

And I love VK before Anushka and After Anushka.. But I respect him way more after Anushka.. cz he seems to mature a lot during this past 6 odd months as a human being.. from the cocky too talented for his own good boy he was..

So in ur theory MSD indeed was at fault for Bangladeshi series loss.. as he was captain..
cz wht is applicable for VK is applicable for him too.. specially as it is the closest series before this..

And umm.. MSD quit the team and retiring halfway in to Aussy series.. that is how a 26yr old landed the captainship cz the team has no other player who is better than him to take that responsibility.. cz Rohit Sharma, the only other one - is now trying to justify his very place on the team squad..

And that last test series also India lost, while VK was not the captain and did his part as a simple player on the squad..

So he didn't ask to be captain, but doing the best he can with the team he has, the same team the Captain cool had too and lost the last series with...

Don't wanna fight, cz clearly u hate him while I love him.. no issues. he has been a brat in the past I know..
But I love the man he has grown up to become, from the cocky Delhi boy he was..

^^ Dont want a fight too ..have no energy to fight with you 😆 .ya a captain is always blamed for a loss and will be blamed ... I guess if you have read about it, you will know why MSD left the captaincy between a series ...If i want to cook, i will demand the ingredients i need and like, not what people want me to use, and then blame me that the cooked food is not nice!

Virat as an individual cricketer is very good ...but doesnt deserve to be a captain ...have seen ample of his captaincy in Bangalore team!

Just like how Sachin is considered God of cricket , but had failed as a captain ..

I want to share one of my experiences similar to Sanaya. Do you remember that "nautanki in the gym" in week 3? There she couldn't lift up the rod even when there was no weight, right? Well, last week that happened to me as well 😛 My uncle was doing bench press and then he asked me to try. I had gone to drink some water. When I came back, I started trying to lift up the rod. I was trying so hard but I couldn't lift up. Finally, I got tired and sat up to ask my uncle to put a lighter weight. When I turned to him, I saw him laughing silently. When I asked him the reason, he said, "Siyuri Chan, you forgot to put weights on the rod." I actually said "What the!" 😆 This reminded me of Sanaya. Now I wonder...was Sanaya acting or was that real? 🤓

that i don't disagree with.. best players don't always make the best captains.. but just cz a player make a not so good captain, that doesn't mean he becomes a bad player. cz he will still be a great player!

And well, just a little fact. for us here in Sri lanka also cricket is like a religion.. but we love our players, specially ones like Sanga.. we never blame him or Mahela for a team loss..i guess that is where the 2 teams and their perceptions by the followers differ...

anyway I dnt think India has an option now do they? He is the best they have got right now..
n ya i know what exactly happened in the Aussy series lol. i had 2 reasons to follow it closely..
whether it is VK or MSD it is very unfair to blame the captains for a team loss..

As Sayari said, wish people would treat the game as a game.. they r not gods that would be able to deliver on every occasion..

I used to love cricket ... followed it very closely ... but stopped following it completely a few years ago. So I have no comments about Virat and Dhoni ... though I like Dhoni, and haven't seen much of Virat either as player or captain. 😛

Coming to Sanaya ... gosh, how does she do it?! A still picture, and her expressions are perfect! I can remember this exact expression in some old Charlie Chaplin movies I've seen years ago! That same glint in the eyes, the pursed lips, the quirky expression ... amazing actress!!!

I know right! Among all the Charlie Chaplin appearances I have seen, Sanaya probably enacted him the best! ⭐️👏
