I don't really get the diya thing. I mean I know all the environment thing but I feel that diya bring much more joy to me than candles do.Problem with India is that it is stuck between new and old. Hypocrisy is the root cause of all evils in India. Neither we let off go the old nor do we accept the new.
As a new aged person we replaced diyas with candles and candles with newly developed electric lights but still a girl child is a burden,Now, we want a salary earning daughter in law who would come with loads of dowry. Along with it she should know all the hindustani ways to please her in laws.
Oh it won't end with that, she needs to be a 'complete' woman!
