IKNMP seems to be based on the 1980s movie Judai- starring Jeetendra & Rekha. The hero is a full time flirt, the heroine as a caretaker of his dadaji. There too dadaji writes a condition in his will that they have to get married for him to inherit the family wealth.

Then they get divorced, split the kids too and reunite later because of the grown up kids.

EK maiyya ki jai ho...she even recycles stories from the 80s...that too the ones in which her dad acted 😆

BTW, I am not at all liking the FB episodes...both the leads are bad.

Not too impressed with the young NeiRa...somwhow the flirting and childish nature of Neil and the maturity of Ragini is not coming through...the connect was not there...dont know something was amiss.. RR is too old to pass off as a 20 year old. And how does EK do her math?😆 I remember Rag telling Nishi that she regrets getting married early at 18, today someone said she has worked at Neils house for 3 years...so she started working as a nurse at 15? Anyways...I should not think too much when EK is at the helm... 😆

Anisha ... agree with you. I didn't know Judaai was based on the same theme ... I remember seeing the movie, but all I remember is that they separated and then go back together ... obviously the movie didn't make much impact 😆 And I don't like the FB episodes much either ... for one, RR looks way too old ... and somehow his character as a young flirty casanova is not coming through well ... they're making him out to be some sort of superhero ... he's good looking as a 50 yr old, but not so much as a young man. And Pallavi just comes across as angry all the time ... she is a limited actress and this track is exposing her limitations. She somehow doesn't get that mix of emotions across well at all.

As for the math ... don't get me started!!! I think Pallavi didn't want to be shown as a woman in her forties, so working backward, they had to show her as getting married at 18 ... but working for 3 yrs before that is so silly! And Neil was a medical student at the time, so he was in his 20s ... he looks so much older ... not just the looks but the body language etc. Aamir did 3 Idiots and carried off the college look ... Ronit can't. All messed up!!!
