Adi tells Parineeti to rethink her film choices?
It seems that Parineeti Chopra isn't the only one concerned about her career. The 26-yearold, who has had three back-to-back average grossers " Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), Kill Dil (2014) or Dawaat-e-Ishq (2014) " recently went to meet her mentor, Aditya Chopra, to seek his professional advice. Apparently, the two had a closed-door meeting where the film-maker consoled Parineeti, and asked her to think about the film choices she has made so far and why she made them.
A source says, "Aditya has asked her to take a break, and use this time to analyse her decisions. He wants her to understand how she can do things differently, but he doesn't want to be the one telling her what to do. So, he is only guiding her in the right direction," adds the source. Having taken his advice seriously, Parineeti has been travelling a lot.
If industry insiders are to be believed, the new breed of actors including Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor are doling out hits and, as a result, are being signed for several films. But because the last hit Parineeti delivered was Shuddh Desi Romance in 2013, she hasn't been offered too many interesting projects. In fact, even her film opposite Saif Ali Khan has been put on hold for now.
