I think today's actors are more versatile , can fit very well in any role given good story and direction.
And off course kind of movies are made now could not be dreamt in earlier eras.

Kovalam Tourist spots are not just confined to beaches even though they are the primary attraction here. Vizhinjam village should never be missed if you ever drop in to Kovalam. It is situated at a distance of nearly 3 km from Kovalam. This village which has a great deal of history to murmur is credited of having lots of dazzling places in Kovalam.

Vizhinjam history starts from the Ay dynasty which is believed to have existedsomewhere between 7th and 11th century. Until the Cheras emerged and established as the main force, Kerala was ruled by Ay dynasty. From AD 850 to AD 1400, the place was a battle ground for many wars between Kulashekharas and Cholas and finally it were the Cholas who emerged victorious.

The latest archaeological excavations carried out here reflect the fact that this village was a promising port city during the ancient times. At the time of Romans, the place had trade relations with many countries. Later in the 14th and 15th centuries the Dutch and Portuguese traders crowded here to sell their wares and buy local wares from here.

Vizhinjam today is a busy port flooded with fishing boats and you can also see lots of fishermen venturing into the distant sea. The village which is rustic and earthy is very much different from Kovalam in diverse aspects. Here you can see the real life of fishermen who push their boats into the sea for fishing in dawn and reach back by dusk.

Marine aquarium in Vizhinjam is a place you must visit and here you will see wide varieties of rare aquatic species. This includes lionfish, surgeonfish clownfish, squirrelfish, piranhas, giant turtles, moon wrasse, butterfly fish, triggerfish and sharks. Here a technique named image pear production is practiced via which a mould of lime is filled into pearl oyster and within three months a pearl in shape of the mould used is ready.

Another attraction at Vizhinjam is the rock- cut temple of 18th century. You will be amazed by the brilliant sculptures which showcases the skill of the workers who were behind this great work. The deity here is Vinadhara Dakshinamurthi. On the outer wall you will see a semi carved curious statue of Lord Siva and his spouse, goddess Parvati. Towards the other end, there is the Vizhinjam mosque in orange and white colour. The mosque majestically stands as a witness to all the fishing activities carried out in the harbour.

Vizhinjam fishing harbour is yet another place of significance here. The place is famousbecause of a demonstration plant which converts the energy from sea waves to electricity and this is then provided to the local net here. The plant works based on the principle of Oscillating Water Column (OWC) and has benefited the local inhabitants here in many ways.

The ministry of tourism is introducing some grand projects for boosting up the scope of tourism here. Vizhinjam is regarded as the perfect place for such projects because of the unique marine ecology with rich biodiversity. Plans for setting up a diving school, marine museum, research centre, mari-culture system development unit and many more are there. Most of them are progressing with rapid pace as well.

If you are planning to make a visit to Vizhinjam, remember that you will be mostly under open sky. Even though the weather is pleasant in the morning time and evening, by noon it gets really warm. So, you should apply some sunscreen lotion and always carry a bottle of water with you. It would be better if you avoid visiting the tourist places in Kovalam from March to September.

Anjali, Thanks for the info. 🤗

Will t visit it. 😛

My family likes to explore not so known places more.

PY and SSG, to be able to work together in BV for such a long time, indeed it shows, they have lot in common, and their sensibilities match.
Individually , if I see, I feel SSG scores a bit over PY.

Have not watched any of RR, so I really cannot comment anything on the direction part of it.

But iam more than impressed with him of his current one.

Direction wise, this is one show, iam more impressed with than BV...or may be BV actually had the same aura for some period at the kiddo stage...pre leap...

There is certainly a difference in the way BV touched me, pre leap, as compared to post leap.

For me both are equally good.
People are saying there is difference.but they have been together from almost beginning how do ppl know which scene was shot by which director?
I liked the story and they way it was told before Shivraj Shekhar's entry. After his entry the show did become more commercial and incorporated too many things to please the masses😛

hello people!!
already so many pages gone 😲...too much of talking i see 😆
--------------------------
some gossip from the other show i watch these days...yes the crappy BB 😆😆

In a rather bizarre confession, contestant Karishma Tanna of Bigg Boss said that she has no clue who is Anas Rashid.

As per a task in the game, contestants had to invite their famous fraternity friends.

Thus Anas' name featured in the list of Gautam Gulati.

But it was captain Karishma who had to finally approve on the given lists by the contestants.

When Anas' name popped out, Karishma said, "who is he"? Gautam said that he is the lead of the show he used to act earlier, namely Diya Aur Baati Hum.
Now, we have learnt that the footage has created quite uproar at the Diya Baati camp with the cast and crew taking offence.

It is quite a smart move from Colors to take a jab at one of the leading actors of rival channel Star Plus.

We did buzz Anas to find a reaction and he said. "First tell me who is Karishma Tanna?"

Aha, hmm...we get the emotion.

For the uninitiated, Anas is the lead hero of the country's no 1 show which has viewers all across the globe, airing on no 1 GEC in Indian television, Star Plus.

It's not surprising that Karishma Tanna did not know who Anas was because she didn't know many things😆On weekend BB with Salman her low level of general awareness was put on display.
I think the lady worked only in K mata shows and probably doesn't know about TV shows beyond K -shows😛

Not a big deal.
If one is not following DABH, how he/she will know about it's cast.

If I know about him , it is all thanks to SBB/ SBS which I follow to catch segments about BV. 😉

I never compared both of them before.
Intact I didn't know, they both worked together for BV.

after I watched SSG 's individual show, I felt same...strictly my personal opinion.

His current show may not have been great shakes at trp ratings, but the direction I feel is a class apart.

And also, personally BV for me was a class apart too, pre leap. I do not know, whose hand in it was more, it could be a combined effort too, but n/ less I liked that period the most.

SRS entry - agree it made the show more commercial...and as soon as the story entered u'pur , KB phase., the rustic feel, which is the most charming part of BV is gone.

Guess, how the story is developed in a particular surroundings, is also an USP for the show.

And After that, Sa saga - was not required at all. 😡
