yes in the first book she wasnt shown as grey or completely white but she was potrayed as ambitious... and even i think that she was a ambitious lady and being a lady and on top of that ambititious, made her a grey character thats what i feel... but in india audience are not mature enough to handle grey character of leads thats y they are manipulated into something likeable... and also i dont understand that y one character has to be shown extremely evil inorder to make the other character likeable... years ago i saw akbar khans mvie tajmahal , noor was potrayed as a complete vamp to glorify arjumand... she was scheming and plotting to kill arjumand and mahabat khan was shown as her secret lover... and it was disgusting... i mean yeah noor was manipulative and ambitious but yet she was a loyal lover and never did she plot to kill anyone...

i tell you shivi when it comes to NRs the makers only want to see how money can be made ay yhe end and if they show reality many people might be either shocked or surprised as we all have a certain image of our historical ideals!

I don't blame viewers...they have never been given the choice.....all can be grey EXCEPT the female lead...even in the show/book...everyone is grey EXCEPT Nissa

another great point mishti! yes, the majority people want to see the main lead to be as pure as white and win from the evil at the end but i want to see real normal human beings who have their ups and downs as long as they are depicted with finesse the shows can slowly bring a refreshing change if such trend is started and such a trend i saw in YRKKH..they showed a saas bahu relation in a very realistic way but stopped watching the show long time ago!

Noor Jahan was grey more on the black side - If Indu Sundaresan cannot make it like this, no one in the world can make it grey - Everyone lacks guts. What a pity.

And this show is NOT On youtube - what a pity - I missed so many episides - Waiting for it to be uploaded.

hey jaya mausi so nice to see you here🤗..i think even akbar is shown as a saint in many shows...look at JA where ekta has made him a dummy saint!..but in reality i can imagine him more close to siyaasat's akbar who had beauty at his feet and was the most powerful emperor..he was shrewd and manipulative at the same time man of his word who wanted to rule the way he want s and not go by the book..how i wish to see a separate show on just his achievements and noor must have been highly ambitious intelligent and manipulative..but indu herself has written that she had read several sources narrating her as evil while the others were more merciful..and indu took the middle path she has shown her not so manipulative now but once she is in power that is after marriage with salim she will be shown as grey with her darker shades and how i wish they stretch the show until then which is indu's part two book!

mishti read the part two she is all shown grey with shades of black..indu took a middle path in carving her character..initially subtle but once in power the claws appear😉

^^^ This nissa is no middle path...even the road to power, she muct have had plans and plots to get there...after power if this Nissa is shown as black, i bet it would either be revenge, hurt of previous wrongs or situational...you do get, what I'm trying to say?

mishti you seem to be smitten by EK ka istyle😆..and that is why her shows are ruling the roost even though they are all running on same storyline🥱

But other shows on Epic are not like that, the channel really have variety and good one

mishti the only other show i watched on the channel is dariba diaries that too i like in the beginning but lately found it very repetitive and felt bored btw that dariba diaries handsome chap was in marigold the second part but had a brief appearance and was looking much better than the lead!
