True to the name, the Siyasat scenes are extremely captivating - A little bit of drama and a seasoned PH would add a lot more maturity. But for the 1st attempt, it is very good.

Akbar is probably close to reality - He does not show too much emotions and does not raise voice at all.

In JA, they butchered him by making belive all and sundry including that cousin of his who killed HH. 😆😆

SIYASAT...

episode 1

the first scene starts with a birth of a female in a tent in the midst of a dessert..khyber paas in afghanistan..and is attacked by some goons..the child is born but the goons leave the child and take all the wealth! the mother her two sons and the husband leave the next day for some other destination but travel miles and miles with no food and water and not much money left either..the father is worried about the little girl and leaves her in the middle of nowhere close to a kabar and then starts walking away..he has not gone far that he hears dogs crying and gets worried that some dogs must have taken his girl but when he goes there he sees nothing and then a man on a horse with few other men arrives..

the man is malik masud who is going to akbar's darbaar and has taken the girl and says to the father that he need not worry now as he will help him..he takes the girl in his arms and names her mehrunissa..and says that he can see the bright future of this girl and she will bring luck with her..the father tells the story how he left his wealth in iran due to some misunderstanding between the ruler of that country and had to move away and now has nothing not even a shelter for his family...

grown up salim is shown trying out a gun with his friends and one of them is koka who is very fond of eating..the friends seem to be having good times with salim but salim is shown all worried if akbar thinks him to be capable enough to be the next emperor and he is always wanting to prove himself in jaha pana's eyes..

then the scene shifts to young mehrunissa's house where two businessmen try to bribe her father but he refuses as he says that whatever he is today is because of jahan pana ..then they show mehrunissa who is playing with his brothers saves the older brother by taking the blame of spilling father's ink and in return takes a promise from her brother that he will take her to the nashakhana..but the father finds out who the culprit is and punishes his older son..it was a cute scene and showed good bonding between siblings and how they all loved mehru...

then ruk begum is introduced who gets the news from hoshiyaar khan that maan bai has taken drugs and is throwing things..ruk on hearing this goes to her room and tells her to control herself as salim will marry not only once more but many times more and she will have to get used to it..and i believe the next wife of salim they will show might be jagat..and then ruk leaves and gets her portrait made in her hojra and asks hoshiyaar of any news about politics and hoshiyaar tells how akbar abolished jaziya and it was because salim had made the suggestion..so salim gets the credit now for abolishing jaziya..

a scene of ruk and akbar is shown and akbar is worried about his sons who are good for nothing and ruk says everything will be alright..a cute nok jhonk and then they both sleep peacefully..

salim is shown drinking with his friends and then one of his friends tries to write his name on ashoka pillar on which abul fazal's sipahi stops them and then the friends get angry on how dare he stop them and then abul fazal comes and gets angry at salim and his friends and then akbar comes on the spot and gets mad at salim that how dare he writes his name with great emperors as for that he has to prove himself and he cannot prove himself by drinking day and night!..

then the next day is shown where salim gets a message that he will not be allowed to enter DEK as jahan pana is mad about his irresponsible behavior and salim is not too happy to hear this and says how will he become the king if his father thinks so low of him...to be continued!

In today's world, around 1603, my choice would be

Sailm - Irfan Khan

Noor - Vidya Balan ( Weight reduction karna padega)

Kajol as Jagat.

We need awesome acting talent to pull off these highly complex characters

what i mean is abhishek is real life salim with a larger than life father and a dominating wife like noor😆

I also think in the current lot Huma Qureshi will pull off Noor's role very well . She acts well and is a beauty ; Just a little weight reduction she will be very good as Noor.

Shraddha kapoor can be Mann Bhai.

Sonakshi Sinha can be Jagat ?

This is another combo. We need a good Salim

yes huma is a great actress..maybe shahid as salim?

I think Pulkit Samrat will make a good Salim. Or even Shahid Kapoor. What do you think?
