I was there in India during 96 cyclone. Was actually studying in Vizag doing my masters. The college was starting after the dusshera break/diwali break when this cyclone came and we didn't know the reopen date was postponed by a week. Damn we didn't have the hostel mess, no electricity and no water - it was horrible. we used to walk all the way to a mess and have our food. And all trains were cancelled so couldn't go back home too. Was really scary.
