Thanks to Ecri, Dolly, Shraddha and Gayatri for signing the AB birthday card.😊

Happy Karwa Chauth to married women here or those who celebrate.😊

Do Bengalis celebrate Karwa Chauth?

Agreed with Gayatri that EHT is not worth watching even to make fun of it. I tuned in to watch Sakshi's reaction tonight but they killed time on others.😡

Anu is right. Durga is afraid of Shaurya even though he is confined to wheelchair. What revenge would she have taken? And to think she wanted to marry him! She has nothing to her!🥱

Nerdgal please be calm and relax. I mean you do not need to apologise or constantly thank over here! Chill out! It's a fun place of like minded people!😊

Bengali women married to Non-Bengali guys do celebrate Karwa Chauth, like my cousin sister who is married to a Bihari.

But otherwise Bengali wives dont do Karwa Chauth, they celebrate Shivratri, keep a fast and pray to Lord Shiva for well-being of husband, unmarried girls observe Vrat that day to get good husband.

What? 😲 They didnt show Sakshi's reaction properly? I was so eagerly waiting to see Simone's brilliant acting.

Hey, thanks for inviting!

But tell me what the heck has happened to this show. Have the creatives got their brains transplanted for some reason?

Shivratri for unmarried girls and sabitri borto known as Var savitri in other parts for married women. Karwa chauth doesn't exist in our culture;

BTW Byomkesh Bakshi by Basu Chatterji was also made in Mumbai but the essence was purely Bangali. Interestingly the three leads there were all non- Bengalis.😆

Good morning everyone ...😛
Happy Karwa chauth to the ines celebrating 🤗

@anu and dolly ..thanks so much for the wishes ...I just hope the moon rise doesn't take long today 😭..usually it's 9/9:15 by the time I finish the prayers ...

My my so much on diff cultures and I have to say I had no idea on how things are so diff n yet So beautiful in India ..

Btw for us untill we finish an year of marriage we are supposed to wear GLAS BANGLES with the traditional gold one, which is given by MIL. The glass bangles include two red bangles and one black bangle (mainly to ward off evil ) ..ALL THE TIME untill the first year is over ...and during the time of marriage we are given A set of black n red bangles, ..while the red ones can be replenished ..and bought AGN in case all of them finish off , the BLACk ones we cannot buy , so from the set of 12/24 bangles ...we have to pass exactly 12months n 365 days 😭..which is like a tast in itself cos they are glass at the end of the day and does break in easily . And I just barely managed to finish the black ones off arnd my first anniversary. 😛...nowadays brides can also wear the usual Chooda with the black bangle.

Now that Ive watched the episode, its very obvious that the whole Shaurya- Durga scene was just a sick fantasy of the wheelchair-bound pervert. Hes frustrated as hes paralyzed and cannot do anything to Durga so hes fantasizing the whole thing! 🤢

Durga would never cower before him for real, she hasnt been intimidated by Shaurya even when he was hale and hearty. Shaurya likes to imagine shes at his mercy, he has had such daydreams before. Like when they were driving once and he imagined attacking and trying to molest her.

Actually the show is just getting interesting again. Sakshi has found out abt Rajma affair and I cant wait to see what she will do to them! 😈 She will make them pay...with Khoon ke aansoon...😃

Dev also got caught by Rajnath so now Raj will do something to stop Dev...and he will deal with the lawyer as well.

Like I said, my cousin sister who is a Bengali does observe Karwa Chauth every year for her Bihari husband. After marriage, women generally follow the traditions and rituals of her sasural, whatever region or state that might be from.
On Shivratri, Bengali married women also fast all day and offer prayers to Shib Thakur in the evening. Have seen my sasural ladies doing it. I never fasted, I cant fast due to health reasons.

I just saw the whole series on youtube. Even with poor production values, it's Ahmazing. I read on Wikipedia though that the outdoor scenes were shot in Kolkata. But the cast and the whole setting defo seems completely Bong. Can't imagine how Sushant SR could ever live up to the role.
