But, see he's fangirl-worthy fictional hero alright (yes, I said it. Like I said earlier, I slept on it).

I mean he was a total babe in the beginning (and the whole chai/headache things are cultural, right? So I can't blame him completely). And the hypocrisy is still something I CANNOT OVERLOOK. But see, even after Khirad allegedly betrayed him, all it took was a couple hours of alone time at the beach for him to realize that it's not his wife's character to do something so low. He was willing to go back. And I totally understood his initial reaction (I never blamed him for it in the first place) - he didn't lash out at her. he didn't protect her from his mother. he just left. like any normal man would.

But he came back to hear her side. And within that night. Had it not been for his mother, he would have read that letter. He would have talked to Khirad (also, had it not been for his mother, Khirad wouldn't have left in the first place). So he wasn't completely wrong there.

And thats why you can't hate Asher.. After hearing all these accusations on his wife he just left he didnt divorce her.. Men lash out and do end up giving talaq I'm glad he didnt.. And I agree he wasn't completely at fault his bitch of a mum was the one who created the whole mess.. And the chai thing I was going to elaborate on before but I forgot.. But u've just said it its a very cultural thing to take care of your husband make his food, chai and stuff

And then of course, the final confrontation was THE BOMB DOT COM. IT REALLY WAS.

& he did realize the gravity of his actions and mistakes - he didn't seek forgiveness because he didn't deem himself worthy enough for it. All he wanted was a chance at a family. So I do respect him for that.

But four years is a lot of heartbreaks to mend. It's a lot of tears to dry. And it's helluva lot of trust to gain back.

See the only one to blame was his mother. He wasn't at home that night, otherwise Khirad would have still been there. And not only but his mother put in Khirad's head that her son hates her and kicked her out. They were both played. And unfortunately, as much as I loved Khirad, she was kinda stupid to not catch onto his mother. Besides Khirad, his mother was the only one who knew she was preggers.
That's why I could never hate Asher or blame him.

As for the chai thing, it never bothered me, idk I was raised in a very traditional household lol so that stuff I'm like whatever about.

So yeah, final thoughts on him? I love him as a fictional character.

I personally could never marry a guy who expects me to make chai for him (especially since I ABHORE CHAI). Like you take your lazy ass off of that couch, and make some for yourself. Or drive up to Starbucks if you can't (and get me a pumpkin spice latte while you're at it).

But, but. I still am not okay with how he acted with Hareem. No man, I repeat no man, no matter what he's been through, has the right to tell the mother of his child what she is and isn't allowed to do with her daughter. Like what the f**k, you entitlted ass.

BUT. He definitely deserves more than the 16.37% redemption points I gave him last night for wanting her back in spite of everything (in his eyes). Like it takes a whole lot of unconditional love to want a person who stomped all over your ego by cheating on you (allegedly).

I agree with the Hareem part. Although I have to admit, he was an awesome and cute father lol. But he did spoil her but I also think that's because he missed out on so many years for her so he was trying to make up for it. But he really had no right to tell Khirad that. They both have equal rights on their daughter, if he can spoil her she can scold her. Plus Khirad knows how to handle her daughter.

I really do wish the mother hanged herself in shame.. Like thats what she had to do.. Would have been the icing on the cake no matter how mean it sounds!

& I SEE ALL OF THIS NOW. 😆 I just needed a night to myself to analyze things through. IT'S JUST KHIRAD. MY POOR BABY. I cried too much with her to forgive Asher as quickly as she did.

Yes, yes, yes. Exactly my thoughts. Like no Asher, you don't want your child to be a spoilt brat. Let Khirad do her thing.
