Indi di, did you see Haider? Want to see it, don't know when I can manage it.
We were talking about VB and Gulzar some days back, this is one song of theirs I've listened to a lot in recent times.

thanks, kizh and issk,

for that song and the heart attacks.

i am so relieved you liked the vm... awesome suddenly sounded lovely... yes... my vm awssome yay.

i just added in everything that felt wicked to me, did not worry about the sense, rationale, and other such things that stop fools from rushing in... unfortunately 235 i didn't have... that is akhada, aargh... of course as i said, there are many many many scenes one could include. i must make another at some point.

did you like the mmm from the sleeping boy who picks up phone and how dishy is he from that angle. i think he practices looking hot in front of a mirror... every morning an hour to mirror mirror for sure.

i miss the show madly too, issk. sometimes so bad, i can't even explain it to myself.

Isskiya, pleej to be the talking! Indi di, awesome seems a mild word to describe it. Can't wait to get back home to watch it again.
IPK, you could watch those first 200 or so episodes in a loop forever. Its as if you find something every time you watch it. And of course the hottistuff!
Read a NYtimes review which said it should've been called Gazala instead of Haider.

hi kizh, i saw haider yesterday... it is still sitting across my heart and more... can't find the right adjectives, but the first thing i said when the movie ended was, i like the film. i noted the surprise in my voice... because omkara i had not liked and maqbool was nice but nothing more... this was at another level altogether... for me.

also decided, had to take my kid to kashmir soon.

music, cinematography, acting, breadth... all just beautiful... most thrilling for me, the sense of the storyteller... who so wants to tell a story and will employ everything he can to get the story to you.

and i did wonder how barun would play haider, though shahid was noble, innocent, beautiful.

and uff if a moral has to be taught at least this level of artistry should be used to teach it.

i liked it, you may not... but had to gush,

have not seen dedh ishqiya... but loved ishqiya.

I plan to watch it Indi di, when I don't know! Read good reviews, especially Tabu's performance has been praised across the board. There's an adaptation of Othello in Malayalam which came out a few years prior to Omkara which I liked better. Set among a group of traditional dancers. Haven't watched maqbool. Ishqiya I liked too, haven't watched dedh ishqiya. I love couple of the songs, especially the one I posted. Check it out.

i am listening to the song you posted... niiice.

as for sakisspeare ji, well... i have never read hamlet properly, have only seen the play. but you know at least with this one, i was glad i did not know every detail of the play because it would have hampered my enjoyment, plus, i felt hamlet was almost a metaphor here... kashmir, aland and its people was what it was about... to me. and i liked everyone's performance, gazala's roel had the most stuff in it... and tabu was just supremely gazala. it was the storytelling which kicked me in the centre of my diaphragm... and ohhh kashmir and ufff the madness and sadness of us humans... look out for chutzpah where vb has done his own desi chutzpah.

have you seen gulzar's maachis? vb as music composer... also tabu in it...

Read on one of our newspaper sites that somebody wanted it banned because its anti India. I just don't understand this idea of pleasing everybody, taking political correctness to ridiculous levels. Ban a book, movie because one person or persons didn't like it, or it didn't agree with their world view or what not. What about freedom of expression and speech? Pulpit pound?!!!!!
I've not read any sakisppeare (plenty of makisspeare!) but do know the stories or plot line. There is no doubt that VB is a talented man.

abs agree. ban what and why. and really i told my husband if we can make such a movie in india and openly release it everywhere, says something is still pretty okay with the country... vb presents his pov on the situation... and pretty intelligently. not to forget, poetically.

actually for some time now, filmmakers have tried to enter this dicey territory... our beautiful northern state... forget the name of the film but the rip off of a few good men, if memory still functions, was based in kashmir and of course fanaa had that whole kashmir thing...

that one they banned in many places i think.

my haalat pretty bad looking at those clips... and ediiittting. there are about 3,479 others that would be just so perfect for that song...

of course, yt ruins the colours adding a tinge of red to everything and dailymotion is all shaky shivery low on res. but what the, it's the man and that's wicked bad mad enough.

have ya seen haider. i am floored... and tossed and stormed.

and did you see my last vm... harkat in your heart? if not, pilleejh my dearly, here it is, and since i now have decided not to stop at one... there's a second one on the same theme, diff song.

arshi vm: harkat in your heart

arshi vm: unafraid love

Sachi and muchi i liked shiked...😊...this one, and those ones...and you have such a nack for titles, have i ever told ya? Harkat is so gently evocative...it created such a beautiful window into arnav's feelings...and uff the kal se soye voye bhi toh kam hain hum...and aankhen doobi doobi si surmayi madham. Perfecto. But firstly, i need to talk about the writing that preceded...it was so moving, it was hard not to explode already...and then i saw the VM and was waiting to just collapse but it soothed me inside out. Was so hard to move on from...and then i hit Unafraid... was so pleasantly surprised by ye nayan nayan being the choice of song...to set it to this sequence is a wonderful idea...and tribute. How amazing that the farmhouse sequence sits so snugly with both songs...speaks of the calibre of emotion that it's fused with..and the mood is just so perfect! The picture quality in Harkat, by the way..the burn out effect and monochrome is fantastic.
Haye that was such a treat...have to go back and watch...feeling crazy right now😆
Thank you for sharing!
