I have been to quite a few cities and countries. I havent seen the world but of what little I have seen, acc to me Aleppo (Syria) is the most beautiful city I have ever seen. It looks straight out of a fairy tale. I always wanted to revisit it.

And now ISIS have seized it... Latest news 😭

Iran cannot help Iraq officially till Iraq doesnt ask for help. And Iraqi Prime Minister is more concerned about his seat than anything else. Only when ISIS moves towards the religious sites can Iran make its move on religious grounds... Until then...

I need to see what Hezbollah is doing. It is not subservient to any political rules... Will be back

Lebanon's Hezbollah ready to fight ISIS in Iraq

Shi'ite militia could seek to expand fight against Sunni militants from Syria into Iraq

Beirut, Asharq Al-Awsat"Lebanese Shi'ite militia Hezbollah is ready to intervene in Iraq to confront Sunni militants, including the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

During a Hezbollah rally in Lebanon on Monday, Mohammad Raad, head of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc, said the Shi'ite militia is ready to "confront" ISIS and its backers at home and abroad.

"We know how to confront your plan in its own home, and how to topple all your delusions," Raad said at a Hezbollah ceremony in Deir Al-Zahrani, according to the National News Agency.

Raad said that any party seeking to exploit ISIS to achieve their own goals would fail. "It will come back to you when our people in Iraq overthrow it," he said.

Lebanese writer and political analyst Qasim Qasir, who has close ties to Hezbollah, affirmed that Hezbollah could seek to get involved in the fighting in Iraq, particularly as it is already fighting against ISIS in Syria.

"All options are on the table, and if the situation in the field evolved and required Hezbollah to get involved, then Hezbollah would be ready," he said.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah announced that the Shi'ite militia is prepared to "sacrifice" for Iraq.

"Hezbollah is willing to sacrifice for Iraq five times as much as we sacrificed in Syria for the significantly more important holy places," Lebanese media outlets quoted Nasrallah as saying this week.

"As long as we have the spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, nothing will happen to our holy places across the world. We will be where we are needed," he added.

Qasir said that he expected any future Hezbollah intervention in Iraq to be limited to "elite forces, military experts and consultants," adding that "the logistics of deploying Hezbollah fighters to Iraq would be more difficult than in the case of Syria, because Lebanon does not have borders with Iraq."

Hisham Jaber, director of the Center for Middle East Studies, told Asharq Al-Awsat that he did not expect Hezbollah to get involved with the conflict in Iraq anytime soon for logistical reasons.

"Hezbollah is well aware that getting involved in Iraq will not be like entering Syria. It may send dozens of its cadres to organize a few units under the pretext of visiting holy places. As for sending large numbers, that is not possible except if the south of Iraq becomes threatened," he added.

_____________

Baby looks Hizbollah is facing the same issues. When the religious places are under threat, it can send hordes to Iraq. Till that doesnt happen, Hizbollah too cant sent its army to Iraq. Borders are not shared and Iraq has not asked for help!!!

Guys I post all this on the cc also coz this is how I communicate with baby. I simply ask her to visit these pgs here.

Nasrallah: ISIS would be in Beirut if not for Hezbollah intervention in Syria

Published Tuesday, June 17, 2014

Jihadist forces marching towards Baghdad would today be in Beirut had Hezbollah not intervened in the war in Syria, party chief Hassan Nasrallah was quoted as saying by As-Safir newspaper Tuesday.

"If [Hezbollah] hadn't intervened in Syria the right way and at the right time, ISIS would be in Beirut now," Nasrallah reportedly said in a speech to the Mahdi Scouts on Sunday.

The secretary general was referring to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria which has taken over large swathes of territory in Iraq since launching a massive offensive last week, and is encroaching on the capital.

The al-Qaeda breakaway group controls territory in both Iraq and Syria, but its presence in the latter is limited to the north after army forces backed by Hezbollah fighters drove them out of the Lebanese border regions.

In his speech, Nasrallah said the call to arms made by religious authorities in the Najaf, including top Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, was "not intended to protect a particular sect, but to protect Iraq as a whole."

He was also skeptical about "some Gulf and regional countries" that might have a role in Iraq's collapse at the hands of ISIS.

"Why don't we hear those who condemned [Hezbollah's intervention in Syria] condemn ISIS?" he asked.

On the local front, Nasrallah stressed for the need to elect a president and put an end to Lebanon's political stalemate.

Nasrallah said that Hezbollah wanted a new president, but not one that "would stab the Resistance in the back."

Disgusting and convenient K...

Hizbollah is a 'terrorist' organization acc to the US, UK, Isreal, France, and the UN. They turn a blind eye to the fact that Hizbollah's sole aim is to defend (not attack) and protect Middle East from as many crisis as possible. Hizbollah is not an army. It is made up of normal people who resist evil and want good. But the media will always call it a terrorist organization. Like I care!
