During Baat time, I was damn busy in Asli Duniya - just changed jobs and so I was watching the show but hardly had time to come and enjoy on the forum. I saw Barun in DMG because of KW who was the person I was following at that time. And then somehow during the Shravan running away with Sachi track and he staying as a mechanic in some punjabi family I was too too stressed out so couldn't even watch the show. But then I came back before the show ended and absolutely loved the show's last episode.

IPK too for some reason I was very very busy, felt happy that Barun, Shravan grabbed a role on SP but I couldn't catch the beginning episodes and caught it from Guest House ME - Damn I was shocked seeing him in that sleek avatar. I was so happy that Barun effortlessly changed into the business man for this show and rest is as they say history.

Very few people have impressed me beyond 1 serial and the only two who did it were KW and Barun. Rest of them were there only for one show and I kind of moved away. And between KW and BS, it is Barun who wins hands down but I still feel happy seeing KW doing well. I wish both these friends good success in their movie career.

One thing I loved about the interview is that John is like I want people to have good idea about Indian film industry and I want to make content based movies. That shows that Barun is in good hands and He has a good mentor in JA and I absolutely loved the way he said - Go for content and afterwards Barun is like I understand, go for content. I just felt so happy hearing this.

And bold if that happens, I too don't know what I will do. Remember that time our thread was followed so much and we didn't share any of our gut instincts on here but used to discuss in PMs. Gosh I feel so silly now - barun really made me do crazy things. 😆😆😆

Frankly - I take my hat off to Team Sarun for accomplishing this. The interview is a highly informative 20 minutes long and a refreshing changefrom many of the interviews John gives tocelebrity' interviewers - with sensible questions and NO annoying andirrelevant interruptions.
It must've been VERY tempting for Team Sarun to have John just talk about THEIR prince for 20 minutes, but they admirably resisted and, as aresult, it's a FAB watch. Even though John does look rather tired, he isobviously in good spirits and his electric smile lights up the room onseveral occasions.

Apart from his cameoin Satra Ko Shaadi Hai and the film itself, John's otherprojects like J39, RockyHandsome (with anamended start date of June 15th - take note raftieKirtana) Welcome Back(which apparently finishes sometime inSeptember/October) are mentioned, and also Mumbai Saga,1911 and "one with Rohit Dhawan with Varun Dhawan".
Thankfully he doesn't mention the Great Gama flick so maybe he'sreconsidering that one! And Madras Cafe, No Smoking, Dostana 2 andVicky Donor are also discussed. ENJOY!!

The movie isn't like the DHARMAS or Yash Rajs..Its a story about middle class marriage the chaos and tension of it. I play the role of Naresh Sinhal. Its about how he attends a wedding in Bhopal, meets a girl and ends up meeting her again in another wedding and their affair.

TV has given me ALOT, but after a limit it gets tiresome and affects our health. Its better to quit TV after some years. But if shows like "24" are there..then it would be great. I'll be an idiot to compare myself with Sushant or Ayushmann. Everyone has their way and their own destiny. Everyone enters this industry to become something and there are plenty of opportunities available here.

Yes I always believe that he knows what he wants to do and i never doubt his decisions. Post IPK he was making roads to this industry in his own way and got what he wants a good meaningful cinema.If there is will there is a way and he made his way 👍🏼 I always trust his talent and with luck he is where he should because industry needs this good looking and talented actor named Barun Sobti ⭐️ He really impressed John on his first meet with his oozing confidence.Now John giving him the launch and he will do wonders with his looks,skills and hard work.

John is a smart businessman and if he chooses him to promote its his talent which attracted him not that he is a fan of him. Yes he has turned into his fan now but only because of his talent ⭐️ and now he is saying its so pleasing to watch him and he will be a very very big star in Indian cinema.He is fabulous and extremely talented.

I feel that the name Arshad is a lucky name for him as he has done awesome work with another Arshad without lights, camera and angle in IPK and now he has done SKSH with another Arshad which is going to create history on its release (InshAllah) 😃

I am not a fan of John's acting and only liked him in Dhoom and SAW. My friend is a big JA fan and used to resemble her son with him (I kept telling her your son is much more handsome than him 😳) But he is very good at film making and recognizing talent.

TS conducted this interview professionally by asking relevant questions without interrupting him that's why we got so much from him. Less questions and more content in answers.

He really worked on Barun so he knew what TS would like to ask as he said all 15 minutes talk about Barun 😆 It is mentioned here in Venetia's post.

lovely...wonderful..can't believe someone whom I don't know can bring smile on my face irrespective of issues in AD..

I am super happy with his "why not, its a good script"..says a lot about this person who became part of our daily routine for past 3+ years...

When I saw this scene first time it give me the feel of watching a romantic scene in Switzerland and after that it gave me the same feeling whenever watched it

Hey guys, I know most of you don't go to the forum anymore but I am just going to leave this here. IPK 3rd anniversary is here. And at some point, you guys were probably part of the forum and ardent followers of the show. Despite the negative things that have happened regarding the show, I think we all can agree that this show gave us a lot especially for the barun lubbers here, his best act to date, and it still is one of the most magical shows to ever exist. So do leave your wishes in the thread if you get time! For today-tomorrow at least we should remember IPK has the outstanding show it really was.👍🏼

Just read through some of the pages of discussion and couple of things that really stood out; now that I have had a chance to stop gushing and think about it😛.

John says that they plan on working together on more scripts where they will actually write roles for him. How gratifying is it as a fan that here is an established name in the business; one who knows the importance of content AND commerce and is himself backed by big names like Shoojit, UTV and Disney; that he understands and appreciates what Barun can bring to the table.

Secondly like everyone here I loved that he spoke of Barun oozing confidence withhout being OTT about it. That in no way means that he has lost his humility; humble he is and big proof of the fact is that he does not brag about being in a multiple film arrangement with a reputed PH; that he would like his work and talent to speak for him⭐️⭐️.

Finally it was so big brotherly like to say he will push Barun to achieve his potential; he knows Barun is a laid back kinda guy and probably needs a push in the right direction. The questions, the answers and the overall positive feel of the IV was just delightful😃

Am having the widest smile possible on ma face now😃And it's already midnight here and my mom is throwing me weird looks,but nothing more important than these news,2-3 more films with John...Ahhh

Has he signed any kind of deal with JA ??Amazing stuff...the moment john said,he wil make this boy a very big star one day made my day seriously😃
