My dad's a lot like that. He read all these books when he was young, and then told me I couldn't read them. He didn't let me read The Godfather until I was like in 11th Grade, even though I wanted to read it in 7th!

My parents have always encouraged me to read deep thoughtful books- My dad despises the cheesy romance I use to relax. I use my nook for that stuff 😆 But yes, my parents have always handed me books that are above my age- my dad and I read Animal Farm and 1984 together when I was in 6th grade.

They've never really censored me otherwise either- Internet usage has always been very open, no blocked sites, nothing. They trust me to make good decisions, and I very honestly think the fear of disappointing them has been a better deterrent than anything.

I used to read all the books we had at home ( which were quite a few) at a very young age but no one knew I was reading them, or at least that is what I thought.

Found this somewhere😆

The Importance Of Ten

I, as usual undertook a Research,
As to why the figure of ten was so important, for any one and in all walks of life.
Some salient points hopefully ten,
Will be underlined shortly

1. The human being has ten fingers. Point conceded.
2. Most illiterates can't count beyond ten. Acceptable
3. So there were five planets, sun and moon and to add up, man, woman and child made ten. Ok justified.
4. Place a zero after a one, it becomes ten. Simple maths.
5. Multiply ten by ZERO, everything becomes zero. Yes a kid knows that.
6. if you add a zero to ten, it remains ten. Ah! Yes ten becomes a constant.
7. A Libra lady says she has a thousand jobs to look after. Fact is she can't even count upto ten. Ignorance concealed.
8. Ask anyone here, how many articles they can write at a stretch. Hardly ten will say ten.
9. A poem beyond ten lines isn't worth reading. Yes but tis true.
10. The fact you accept that ten is so important, is a fact of accepting total madness.

Finally
Thank God this was the final tenth point
