peace and love to you zephyr 29! glad to converse with another Beatles fan!
Ganga putr Bhishma can be played by none other, the same can be said about Draupadi, infact all of them in that 1988 serial, as a kid, i actually believed that Nitish was Krishna- things like reality didnt affect me much back then or maybe i was just a really stupid kid, either way.. bars were being set high in that classic serial by such perfect actors that became legends from their roles and made their characters immortal..
i am a 90s kid, i feel more attuned to that era than the noughties and and our current decade, born in 1988 that blessed era when Mahabharat was being made, sorry i will probably be reverting to Mahabharat a fair bit in this thread
90s pop was real entertainment, the videos and the music, lucky ali, raageshwari, haroon, junoon, shaan, does anyone remember a band of boys?, bollywood churned out some beautiful tracks too

I think it was their final day of shooting and everyone was emotional. Mukesh Khanna was especially teary eyed. Lot of hugging among actors and crew with Mahabharat ka yudh na ho slowly playing in background.
There might have been sound bytes from cast too but I don't remember it that much now since I watched that video on YT 3-4 years ago.😕

I still think of Nitish as Krishna even now 😊

Also there was real crossover in terms of pop/rock with bands/singers from across the border too. I remember even DD Metro used to play music videos of Ali Haider (Purani Jeans, anyone?), Haroon, Adnan Sami and Sajjad Ali regularly. Junoon and Vital Signs were my favorites, apart from Hadiqa Khiani, Ali Haider, Strings, etc.

I actually find it weird that many think the crossover of artistes from Pakistan only happened with Atif Aslam 😕

Don't remember A Band of Boys though the name is kind of familiar 🤔
