Hence, people are actually able to relate to these characters and their situations. I think overlooking the caricatures of both Tamils and Punjabis (which I admit to finding quite funny and entertaining, at least the Punjabis, Toshi and Simi are fun and Toshi has so many facets to her character, a favourite of mine), the show does take a more realistic approach to relationships.

NB mentioned this, the Ruhi/Ishita relationship is endearing and a main attraction of the show. For me, it is also about how Raman gets close to his daughter, seeing his conflict when it comes to her and how he is getting over that.

I have found that I do not hate any of the characters in the show, not even the negative ones.

Umz the same here I have no issues with that Punjabi MIL she brings a piquant charm ok that lech of a brother creeps me out
it is far more realistic than Tumhari Pakhi I found the FL too OTT perfect although folks say its going great guns never felt inclined to watch it again Once I hate something then I rarely go back if not ever

Swathi, your is the only view I agree to so far in the forum. I dont understand what people expected when they sign up to watch a show like RR. It doesnt promise to be a slice of reality, it doesnt promise to be forward thinking. It is a show with a good cast and a decent story line.

Rudra's decision to announce the wedding is an act to grab eye-balls. It makes for dramatic viewing experience. Thats all. It is much better than making someone fall from a floor above or making them sleep on a cold floor.

However I completely agree with your view, that Paro's grief, trauma and pain hasnt got the attention it deserves. It is too on sided as of now. And the point is when Paro appears on screen and speaks to Rudra it makes for good episode. I wish the writers would focus more on that.

But this sudden influx of 'RR is boring,' 'RR is regressive,' etc is something I dont get. It is a well-made show and definitely something I have enjoyed watching so far. This is personal view.

thanks NB I think some posts were written with an intent some made sense some nonsense and some just frustrated last night was too much of mixed reactions Even I lost it but in the light of day realized its just TV😆 and made my peace
that was a trp grabber I agree but the execution is getting jerky
and they really have to bring more Paro solo scenes as well its not like she cannot act like that Sandya bindini
she has the power to connect to people she did it with a more lighter character like kkg and here just not given the opportunity She has a distinct disconnect with TRP biddies for she is not shown having the anguish of being a widow They have used her goodlooks and clothes such a pity and now a prop BI although I cannot bring myself to watch it because of the FL nose I do see snatches and she is very forward a reason TRP is going up as is BV
Again this boring that is RC at her dramatic best 😆 the sets are beautiful the cast is impeccable the direction is superior the dialogues are fantastic they just have to figure out the importance of the FL as well Her pulling his lapel is not going to be that dramatic for me I need more
I just hope I don't go off for there are plenty reasons to stick on but then I also like a good story of 2 not 1

Ok what is it about Method actors and dramatics 😆 I couldn't help but chuckle when Ashish spoke of his preparations for crying- listening to music staying in the moment afterwards then what about the legion of female actors who cry at the drop of a hat in all our soaps how do they manage or is it because they are women it easily comes to them 😈
I remember Jack Nicholson the man who thinks he put Method in method acting also speak in similar vein While I am a sucker for method acting some of the statements kind of leave me cold but then I cheer up and know I am only interested in the role they play

U know u r right fls, it seems to me that they r trying to cement Rudra's position as the next ASR with his tortured past makes him lash out at people, the only difference his intense hatred for women... I also don't understand that why rn't they giving SI any alone scenes with him like the one where she asked him where is my home?who do I belong to?
