A lot depends on the brands ..

Drugstore products are cheap ..

Nd then there are High end makeup brands

And then ... Luxury brands which are shit expensive !!

I don't mind the extremely high price because we're deling with skin here and I'm very careful because I have a sensitive skin ... The most expensive foundation ( without compact ) that I have bought till date cost me some 5000rs some 2 yrs back !!!

But many people use drugstore foundations and compacts and they work just fine too ...!

Guess if u have a great skin, u can afford to get away with a lot if not so expensive products !!!

not talking abt the dirt cheap ones and the unknown brands

its more to do with hype and endorsement and some small differences which dont matter in most cases not really ! I have genuinely noticed a difference in how these expensive foundations work on my skin vis a vis drug store foundations ... Plus I think at times the latter can look very tacky !! I mean when I see a bad quality foundation on someone , I know it ...! A good quality foundation will resemble your own skin and look extremely natural ...! Even lipsticks ...the cheap ones have a certain texture that makes it look glittery ... I have a habit of losing lipsticks ... Lost three expensive ones recently and decided to buy drugstore lipsticks ...! They are sitting on my dressing after just one use because whenever I wear it , it looks very tacky !!! And they dry out my lips completely ... unlike the expensive ones that moisture and some evn plump up my lips ...and Ofcourse , the brand , packaging etc ...

and cnsidering u have histroy of ashtma (allergic/atopic temdency) in family, having sesitive skin does make sense

and in case of dogs amd other pets-there are two school of thoughts as far as ashtma is concerned

one says to avoid contact as much as possible to prevent exacerbation (more so in case of exposure naive patients) and other says that the body gets used too (develops immunity against) several precipiataing factors on continual exposure, a desensitization of sorts after the initial flare yeah , latter in our case ... We keep thinking of getting another one but it's very hard thinking what we will go through after it passes on ... We were miserable the first time around ...
