The other day I was at the chemist buying medicine for my Dad. A grand-mother with her little grand child who must've been 6-8 years comes & keeps pestering me to choose between 2 fairness creams! I felt like slapping her!

She kept telling me that I am so fair I had to put these creams. W*F. 😡 She's giving her small child such a complex!!! She was so pretty too.

You know our skin tone is more yellowish , and in U.S. they would not label it fair, but tan. It's funny how West is obsessed with tanning while South Asia fairness is a big deal. Maybe a shade lesser than RT... but fair for south..

first time i got to hear something else was when my south african friend 'complimented' me about how a dress suited me and not her since i'm dark skinned.. I had to hear her again to ensure she said it right... 😆 She wasn't insulting me in the least...but, just felt diff being called dark... 😆
