Onu - I so want to see this one Bengali film with Gaurav Chakraborty - Rupkatha Noy but it's impossible to find an uploaded version online.
How many here are curious about Hasee toh Phasee and Highway? Apart from these, what are the other releases you guys are looking forward to?

Swati, I haven't watched Rupkotha Noy. The last movie I watched was Hanuman.com which was such a disappointment. It was bad, really bad. Prosenjit Chatterjee lends his name to the movie but that doesn't make a bad movie good, no matter how much you promote it. Recently, ekta khub bhalo movie release koreche, Jatiswar. Everyone's talking about it. I have also heard good things about Phoring. Apparently it was the best movie in the year 2013. Aaj Satyanweshi dekhlam on TV. My mum was full of praises so thought of watching it.

I shall not watch Chander Pahar , no matter how critically acclaimed it might be.

I want to watch Highway because the pairing is quite odd and I think it would be interesting to see these two diametrically different characters falling in love with each other. Hooda looks like a no nonsense kind of guy. I love a no nonsense guy falling in love. I am incurably romantic, I guess.

Hasee to Phasee because I love second chances at love romance.

And last but not the least, Shaadi ke Side Effects because hell yeah, we women do talk the way Vidya does and it would be fun to see what the other half thinks and how they react when we act the way we do. 😆 No, seriously it sounds like lot of fun.

I had to let go of my plans of watching Jai Ho because no one wants to go and watch it with me. They would not watch it even when I promised to pay for the tickets and the popcorn. Bojhey na shey Bojheyna... my love for Salman. I would wait for the World TV premiere or someone to lend me the pirated CD or heck, I would simply download it. .

Onu 😆

Don't throw tamatars at me if the story ends up being totally different...I was only 11/12 when this episode aired so don't remember the details, but I do remember the ending 😆

*spoiler*

Basically, the girl gets kidnapped before her wedding, and as the story progresses she ends up falling in love with the main abducter. I don't remember the details in between, as in, if she was abducted on the orders of the bridegroom or her father, but at the end she refuses to get married to the guy she was supposed to and elopes(i think ??) with the kidnapper.

I'm more than 100 % sure that it was a happy ending in the tele-series, though I don't remember the details thanks to my poor memory 😭

Not everything Prosenjit does is good - remember back in the bad ol 90s he did tons of really crappy films too. I'm curious about Jatiswar too - will try and catch it online once the dvd releases. I would love to watch Phoring - I really like Sohini Sarkar as an actress - the theme though of adolescent love for a teacher is a little icky - it's funny how we were discussing this just yesterday here. In Phoring the contrast is even greater - the boy is hardly 12 years old!

I want to see Satyanveshi too - just because of the cinematography. Sometimes I can enjoy a film simply because it shoots a landscape familiar to me in beautiful ways. That's the only reason I liked Mon Amour - despite the oshojjho aantel plot and Rituparna's nyakami.

You should really set your Dev prejudices aside - I'm surprised you can love Salman Khan so much and be so averse to Dev - Salman does things in his films that are at times a 100 times tackier than Dev 😆

As for Highway - I'm curious about that too - I don't know about Alia as an actress though - she just might be a revelation here. I liked Hooda in Sahib Biwi aur Gangster - but that film belonged to Jimmy Shergill and Mahi Gill.

Hasee toh Phasee I'd love to watch - I just think Sid and Parineeti seem to have chemistry in the film - they work together.

Shaadi...umm I don't know - I just wasn't very enthused by the trailer. Perhaps the film would be better - but I had the same kind of sinking feeling when I saw the Ghanchakkar trailer and that was trashed by everyone.

Oh - the other film I want to see - Queen with Kangna Ranaut - absolutely loved the trailer - and heck ya I want to see an Indian girl go on a madcap adventure without worrying about sanskaar and bauji and all that good stuff for once.
