And yes Tuger Shroff's debut is a legit hit..havent seen it to know how good or bad the verdict is but as it stands, apart from Hrithik and Tusshar Kapoor, he is one of the few guys to have a hit on debut in past 15-20 years 😆

ok so HR's movie launched him,who to this day is probably the best looking bollywood actor of all times(but my fav's still John Ab),Tusshar's movie had a decent and novel plot,so it worked...but why did this one work?? Tiger's(the name always has me in splits) stellar performance!! i very much doubt it 😆


I dont remember which Ekta shows showed it, as in I dont remmber the names..one of them had Eijaz Khan and Hiten Tejwani I believe and another 2 showed it two..then there were rape attempts in Kutumb..but Pratham lays off at the last moment and kutumb was very famous at it times..my mum has stopped watching the former two immediately so I dont have much recollection of them..there was a rape in KZK too..but the rape was done by KVB's character (Prem's) bestie (KSG) who was married to his sister (jennifer winget)..Prem had helped him rape his pretend girlfriend (she loved him..he was pretending)..I dunno what the outcome of this scenario was except that eventually KSG was punished.

OK I hear that the famous Tulsi shot & killed her own son for committing marital rape!!!😲😲😲 a track that received a lot of mass appreciation 😕

The part I have a gripe with and majorly so is everyone brushing it under the carpet of Raja's ubringing and hence it being understandable..isnt that probably the case with most such crimes...that the rapist feel as if they have a supreme right on anytging and anyone they want..so why do we exhibit so much disgust for them (its obviously the right reaction) and always viewing it under the jaundiced eye of Rani having rejected Raja's love and not having worked for the trying to make the marriage work..she was made to marry a retarded man whom she came to care about..but she couldnt bring herself to care for the hooligan he became once cured and his family..doesnt want to stay married to him or try and work the marriage..and she is not obliged to.. She has seen him kill someone albeit as punishment, seen animalistic behaviour from him and his family..i have read several posts where people are irritated with her calling him jungli janwar..but thats exactly how he is behaving isnt he..if it was another character but the lead..many who have objections at him being called jungli would be calling him exactly that..

well put Ami 👏...VD's character despite being the male lead hasn't done anything worth being called a hero for since becoming Raja,everything on the contrary tbh.It's just cause it's VD that everyone is trying to justify his character's actions and DD's JM isn't evoking any empathy,sympathy etc.

Sultan was hated for being a a gangster..but that guy used to respect women till his character sketch took a 360 degree turn..AK was hated for being interested in a girl 20 years his junior but he was a decent man per se before he was turned negative over night too and yet every excuse in the book is being made for Raja by some...I am prety sure he will be redeemed or proven innocent some way or other by putti.g the blame on Bhanu since this is show
but if counted against one individual..isnt his crime probably worse of the lot..
yes leads have falled in love with the rapist after being raped ( EK shows) but really is it as easy as its shown??

If the CVs of NF are as creative and skilled at storytelling as EK's lot then they will spin a good yarn out of this mess...if not,well then its cut the extension short and adios to my beloved onscreen couple.

Me too post my thoughts more over here than anywhere else but since I was somewhat defending Raja's pov, felt the need to include that disclaimer😉

I dont deny that Raja did have redeeming qualities..infact the whole story was kinda similar to Pratigya and though not my cup of thea..the show did work very well..So there was chance for Raja-Rani story too albeot with the glitch that Madhubala as a show worked for modern love hate story so far and not regressive tracks..a that gamble AS took.

They might be under pressure to increase the trps since it is a prime time show. In the past 3 weeks or so, the story was starting to gain some credibility and events had started to flow logically. Episodes appeared interesting watch. Characterization was not up to the mark but it seemed to me if they were going this route, we would have logical characterization too soon. Unfortunately, trps did not gain any ground and maybe they introduced this track coz they are hoping to stabilize trps first before moving on the love story. Grab attention and then proceed forward 😕

I never liked Sultan-Madhu story simply for the fact that it went against Madhubalas very basoc character as a rightoeus civilain..thats how they had portrayed in part 1 and suddenly that was forgotten

Exactly, her chr. was butchered to accommodate Sultan's entry and she suddenly started behaving in a manner not consistent with her earlier chr. sketch

Personally except tha fact that Gunjan was a total misfit for the role, AK (original) and JM story actually had scope if developed

For me, GU as an actor, the age difference between the leads and messing with DD's look were intolerable and I stopped watching the show...but I will also agree with your pov here. Yes, they could have developed something.

I dont think sultan was altruistic..far from it rather..I agree with you infact..that he kept being associated with Madhu for he gained a lot too even though he brought potential danger to her
but both Ak and sullu could have formed potential storylines too and had a few redeeming qualities
what I merelh meant by pointing out was that they were rejected without giving a chance for innumerable reasons including crime (before they went that 360 degree transformation and become irredemable) whereas those ones I was pointing out to cant wait to give Raja a clean chit even when there has been a clear indication of the crime he commited..atleast as of now

Raja, in my mind, cannot be given a clean chit coz he is not even understanding the implications of what has happened. He is on his own bandwagon atm and infact has been since he recovered. Why he is being so thick-skinned, I fail to understand too? Reminds me of a dialogue he had said to JM post AK's death - Dauji says, listen to ur wife, love her, bear her tantrums but in the end do as you please !!!

Anita: I have very little of hope of there being improvement in refereeing of the game..the ball is superior to that of last time but most big matches these days turn ugly and have the official making blunders more in favor of one of teams

From what I recall of events in South Africa, this was a huge concern since humans are prone to error and they can only see so much. There shouldn't be anything wrong in providing aid to referees that helps them arrive at correct decisions but the way FIFA spurns it to this date is annoying. FIFA governing body needs some new and young blood rather than the oldies that continue to run it.

Has the interest for soccer / football piqued in India? I believe there are some small leagues out there now. My time, there was only Mohan Bagan and not much interest in the sport. It can't be as much as cricket but still...
