@bold - Ami, how so? Binge watched IPK 1 and tried 2-3 times to watch QH but gave up as it did not make any sense.

the way he goes for the same stories..dark love stoories with well written male leads..heroines are different though..cry babies opposed to chirphy ones that Gul had

actresses are sam though 😆

or maybe its not St but GH who writes the same thing for all love stories

Yeah, GH is the common factor but ST is way more dark than GK. ST might take GK's heroes but walk them 10 steps ahead. He does not appear to hesitate and make them borderline psychos even! I have very limited knowledge of GK's heroes but from what little bit I have seen, they remain within the confines of the relationships they chose. They are attached somewhat to their families - ASR with Anjali and AAK with his family. ST's heroes, on the other hand, are products of betrayal in relationships to the point that they have lost complete faith in their near and dear ones. Am I right?

GK's heroes were betryaed by near one too but remain attached to some one or the other at least

and St's are much darker than GK..at one point RK was pyscho, not even borderline

ST goes overboard in trying to be different I suppose

What I meant was the basic premise of dark, passionate loves stories and repeating the same three times over with diff backgrounds

like Gul did with Geet, IPK and QH

ST did with MB, DDEJ, RR

and the fact that he does tend to go for her actors (consciously or subconsciously or coincidenal, I dunno)..DD, SI and Akshay Dongra

@ bold - I agree and was trying to put it mildly that RK was borderline psycho...You caught me😆.

Yeah, I will have to agree with you Ami that his inspiration atm is deffo GK. But then GK has one of the successful PH models. NF, as the new PH taking off the ground might be trying out their tried and tested formula just to play it safe😉.

What abt Ekta's model? Does she have a stereotype? Have not seen any of her shows either but I believe she has JA on one hand doing so well on Zee and BALH on the other hand, doing not so well.

Tell me if I understood this scene from RR? Rudra wants to establish that SI is from Birpur yet when SI tells him about Bindi, he did not register that the name could be traced to Birpur when SI gave him an outright clue or at least something to start on.

I liked today's episode of BI...😃

Colors' next celebrity to live the life of a common man and raise money for a noble cause through their upcoming show, Mission Sapne happens to be the one and only Salman Khan.

While there were reports of Salman turning a chaiwala' for the show produced by Sobo Films, we have learnt that the dashing actor turned a barber' instead. The shoot for the same happened at Filmcity yesterday where a set-up of a barber shop was created for Salman.

A reliable source tells us that Salman with the usual smile and naughtiness on his face, cut hair, gave head massage and even gave a shave to people who came to his barber shop.

Well, when Salman is there, can dance be kept away? We also hear that Salman did sway and perform with a little kid and two girls, who requested him to give a top-notch performance.

If sources are to be believed, the next celebrities in line to shoot for Mission Sapne are Drashti Dhami, Sidharth Malhotra and Ram Kapoor.

To give you more information on the shoot happening today, Drashti, the effervescent actress who portrays the lead role in Colors' Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon will be shooting for Mission Sapne at the Oberoi Mall Signal. She will don the avatar of a nimbu mirchi' seller.

The celebrities who have already shot for the show include Varun Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Mika Singh and Ronit Roy.

Mission Sapne will launch sometime in March or April.

this article seems proof enough that NF couldn't get any of the big boys of Indian telly...namely KSG,GC and even KVB for that matter which is why they are auditioning the actors mentioned in the article...they have zero recognition or fan following when compared to VD 🤔.
why would they take such back to back risks with the show??first a 20 yr leap,next VD's exit and now a 'nobody' opp DD (sorry no offence to the actors being auditioned)?? they may be good actors but some of them don't even look good enough to play superstars!!!

Do you all think DD would have stuck around in this show had she not been bound by a contract with Colors for another year and a half?? this show is clearly on its way out...real soon.

Bahnni, from a recent iv I heard of VD, it seems pairs are not repeated in TV shows. From my very- very limited knowledge, its seems DD has worked with both KSG (not romantically) and GC. So, there are strikes against them to start with. KVB is another story but then he has mostly enacted negative roles. If rumors are to be believed, the news of KVB paired opposite DD set another round of twitter fury unleashed on NF... 😆 by DD fans. Dunno if the KVB news was true or the twitter ablaze set NF thinking coz the fan base left for this show post leap is DD fan base.

VD wasn't as popular when MEIEJ began compared to where he is now. He has come a long way in terms of acting and PR. Having handled this scenario before, I don't think NF is worrying too much on that front considering they believe (Mehul Chopra's dialogue) that script is the ultimate winner. If they believed in actors, NF would not have taken the step of removing their popular lead! Having said that, I do get the feeling NF is counting on DD's fans to watch the show going forward.

DD has repeatedly said that not even BW can lure her away from MEIEJ. She seems fairly committed being she is considered the face of Colors, her successful stint in JDJ, her immense popularity in winning over Deepika and Kareena and more stints such as Mission Sapne. I didn't follow this story, but didn't Pratyusha B. break her contract with Colors while doing BV?
