@Ashi: as far I got to know they have been warned about plunging trps way back and initially they did try to save the show but Nautanki has almost given up kn MB now. And DDEJ. for DDEJ..its completely at loggerhead with channel. the channel is not happy wit the way its going and Nautanki took this drastic step
if the new generation doesnt work whch in all likelihood it wont. then tata bye bye within a few days

The too gve up on their shows but not so soon and especially when the shows have /have had potential ... And Theyr Hugh budget as well...

Waste ! MB was almost a magnum opus of sorts... With a very fresh concept ... What all they could have done ...!

I predict a shorter shelf life for RR since Theyr venturing into films as well ..!

MB had a lot of potential
but they ended up focusing only on the love story and two characters and dark RK and made it like any other love story
they could have shifted gears to the original story after unwedding but ST in his arrogance wamted to continuw with the love story and with Sultns entry and supposed triangle and logiclessness of madhu befriending a ganagster they lost the plot completely

The unwedding was the beginning of their end... The initial few episodes after the unwedding got them high trps because the episodes were very well executed... And people were still hoping for the heroine track !

What made them bring back Raj Zutshi if they weren't planning on the heroine track with him ? That was the original plot . They brought him back and ended his track within a month and that too when some of his episodes got highest ever ratings... Ballu was awesome ! The makers love for RK killed the show . It's not sultan but how the original characters were dealt with that resulted in a mess ...RK not repenting ...turning from grey to completely dark..Madhubala forgiving him too soon...&.that's when they lost a chunk of their audience .

Ballu was the best character and they ended him in such a hurry
RZ was fab

unwedding didnt kill the story..it was not executed peoperly and has tonnes of clunk but it opene up many opportunities to make madhu independant and start the heroine track but they failed big time by bringin in bhai as someone who was vying for her. as if she cannot survive without a male. thats the problem.with every female in Indian telly. dumped by one they get another one as if thats the whole purpose of their existence

and yes their love for RK overorde every thing else and they ignored development of every other character for his sake

Indian shows thrive n these love triangles... One love story ends and a third character is introduced to create a triangle . Still, I thnk the Savin grace was Madhu not reciprocating sultans feelings . She befriends him but never leads him on. I don't know what mess they will make of the current love triangle they are attempting... RK , the moron ka koi bharosa Nahin...from the promo that Iv seen looks like RK bhaiyaa will fisalofy ...!
