Drashti Dhami (born January 10, 1985)^[1] is an Indian model and television actress. She appeared in Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, and Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi, Dill Mill Gayyeand as the winner of the Indian dancing show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 6).^[2]

Drashti Dhami was born 10th Jan 1985 . She is based in Mumbai,India.

Drashti is the sister-in-law of actress Suhasi Goradia Dhami.

Career[edit source | editbeta]

Drashti Dhami appeared in many advertisements for companies including Chevrolet andReliance Mobile before moving into the TV industry. She made her debut with the music video "Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Re" sung by Harry Anand. She later appeared in the Punjabi music video "Nachle Soniye Tu" and in the remix version of "Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezar" as well as in "Teri meri nazar ki dori" music video.

She made her television debut as Dr. Muskaan Chadda in Dill Mill Gayye. She then appeared in STAR One's Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi.^[1] In May 2012 she began playing the title role of Madhubala in Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. Eastern Eye placed her at 12th on its list of World's Sexiest Asian Woman for 2012.^[3]

In 2013, she won the 6th season of the Indian reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa along with choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan.
