Madhubala is a story of a girl who is born in the lap of Bollywood. Despite coming from this background, she is a simple girl with no ambitions, a common girl devoid of glamour who is not fascinated by the show business at all. Where her elder sister, Trishna is trying her best to become a Bollywood heroine, Madhu is happy wrapping sarees and selling it to customers at the local garment shop.

Madhu goes on a film set to deliver something to her sister and Rishabh kumar alias R.K. the leading Bollywood superstar spots her standing in a shaft of light. He gets mesmerized by her beauty and gets an idea " to share the silver screen with Madhu. He manipulates and plays tricks to reach her and makes her the offer of her dreams. Madhu is taken aback by his audacity and flatly refuses his offer.

He tries to pursue but she doesnt relent. He tries to connive her into entering his glamorous world. Furious RK, through his tricks and deciet vows to make her act with him and from there Madhus life is eclipsed. The Girls with simple dreams is now compelled to act and everyone is surprised; a new star is born!

From here begins the painful, challenging and very complicated love story between Madhu & Rk.
