Episode #29

Another beautiful episode. Absolutely loved how they depicted Arnav and Khushi's frame of mind. Arnav, still feeling guilty, but more upset about his reaction to her. Feelings that he can not explain to even himself. Even when everyone else is talking about La, he is still obsessing over the GH episode.

'jaldbaji me kiye hue faisale…..' He is referring to his overreaction to Khushi.

First thing Khushi remembers is his touch, then rest of the nightmare. She doesn't remember how she got home, but is sure that nothing bad happened. Subconsciously she trusts him, though he hasn't given her any reason to.

Loved Buaji today. Her concern for Khushi was so endearing. Payal, scared, concerned but also enraged elder sister. Where did she disappear after the wedding?

How touching was the brother-sister convo. The young Arnav who had to grow up suddenly, peeking out for the first time. The childlike way he hands over the plate to his Di. Looks for a comfort, he knows only she can provide.

It was such a multilayer episode today. There was pain, anger, helpless attraction, love, bravado, passion, denial, seduction, deceit, deception, revelation, vengeance, kindness, concern...did I mention love? 😊


Both ODB and ODG were in physical pain when he walked into the Gupta House with her in his arms. Her wrist was bleeding and so was his heart. She was in shock-induced oblivion, and he was only too aware of his transgressions against her. And he was angry...angry at himself for being this smitten by her; at her for being the reason for his failing.


There was Payal's and Buaji's love for their Sanka Devi, and their passionate defence of her. Buaji's emphatic threat delivered with all the vengeance of a protective lioness who fears for her brood.


There was Shyam's deceit -laced, but genuine concern for Khushi's well-being, and efforts to get her medical attention.


But by far, the two most important developments happened not in the humble GH, but at the grand Shantivan.

1.) Nani laid the ground for Arnav-Anjali's backstory. She finally referred to the tragedy that befell Malik and Raizada household. And in the process, defined how she and her family viewed the idea of romantic love. In our parlance, it is nothing but satyanaash, and she believes it never does anyone any good. Funnily enough, her grandson agrees and announces that neither will he leave Lavanya, nor would he marry her!!

2.) And then of course, ODB can not get Khushi, and what he did to her, out of his mind. He is so consumed by it all, that his defences are completely breached. So despite the show of bravado in front of his Nani a few minutes earlier, he is totally vulnerable in the privacy of his room , where Anjali walks in with a plateful of food and mouthful of questions. For next few moments, the truth shines through and Anjali catches him almost ready to spill the beans on what is troubling him. Loved the way he silently hands her the thali and obediently opens his mouth as she feeds him.



Barun did such a fabulous job throughout yesterday's and today's episode emoting through his eyes and body language. 👏 For nearly a third of the epi, there are no dialogues. Just silent emoting...



Just a marvelous episode, with tight script and screenplay, and perfect background score. I often wonder how IPK was able to get the music right all the time, when most others don't even some of the time😉 They had the perfect scores for everyone, and even the dramatic scenes, the music was always at the right pitch, never the overpowering kind that drowns out the dialogues.



And they think they can recreate this? 😲😡

Visi...aapka pen aur dimaag-hum dono udhar lena chahte hain 😊 ...you write so beautifully that even me-generally a less sensitive person finds little nuances in the scenes.I go back, rewatch and find a treasure trove...such is the imagery that you create with your pen 👏

Beautiful Visi... I think Barun really came into his own from here... the concern/care/anger and then the self flagellation/guilt and in between all this his vulnerability and the attraction... he captured it all beautifully!
